Being VP didn't make Al Gore President, wouldn't have made dikk Cheney President.

This is dumb for many reasons.

Al Gore won the popular vote in 2000 by over half a million votes. If wasn't for typical fukkery in Florida, Gore would have been elected POTUS. Also, Gore choosing Lieberman to be his running mate was a mistake and arguably hurt his candidacy.

dikk Cheney has never ran for president at all. Secondly, he was viewed as being "Darth Vader" during his time as VP - he wasn't well-liked. Furthermore, the Bush 43 administration was deeply unpopular in 2008 because the Recession and the Iraq War - Cheney had no chance of becoming president.

There's no reasonable way anyone can have a strong judgement on Kamala's 2024 presidential chances at this point in time. At least wait until after the 2022 midterms.

Nah, she ran as both a moderate and a progressive but she just ended up flip-flopping and wasn't trusted by either side.

However, Kamala herself isn't a moderate. She was a progressive senator just not a DSA-socialist type.

Shes honestly wouldn't even have been chosen to be VP if she was a black woman. Before Biden saved her she had ran a TERRIBLE campaign and been exposed by Tulsi.

breh, i just re-read the whole thread to find the whole two posts that fit your "you're just saying she sucks" point...every other post has said what i stated. so yes, don't hold me because your argument is built on a house of cards right now. there have been plenty of shallow kamala attack threads/posts, this thread hasn't been one of them

She was the presumptive dem candidate at the end of 2018 and was one of the 1st to drop out in 2019...so she has a hell of a uphill battle.

2024 is really gonna depend on how things go with Joe. IF Joe does great then it should work in her favor. But I don't think that's likely...

so I could see a big dem field again in 2023. But if Joe doesn't do great, I don't think it will matter. And knowing the dem's they might try to make her the anointed candidate again....

and she'll get blown out
