Not true. The incumbent VP is going to be the shoe-in for the Democratic nomination. The only way that won't be possible is if the Biden presidency ends up being disastrous.

Also, my "Exactly" remark was referring to the entirety of @FAH1223's post not just that part. You might want to re-read his post to see the totality of it.
Sure :unimpressed:

This is the wrong message board to get any kind of idea about her popularity.

If you floated this on Reddit or even LSA you’d get a better flavor for how the electorate views her.

Speak on it, because most of us aren't trying to register on LSA :dead:

How does the general electorate view Kamala?

I wouldn’t know. I’m not over there.

What I do know is that this is a male dominated forum full of people who parrot a narrow slice of terrible YouTube talking points. And these talking points don’t move the needle in elections.

Higher Learning is a bit of an exception since there’s less dogma here.

My point with all of this is that we have a huge blind spot on this forum for how women and people who aren’t on militant social media might be viewing her.

It makes absolutely zero sense unless that’s what they want and are trying to will it to happen:mjpls:

I've never posted there myself so I can't really speak on it :hubie: but I hear it's mostly extremely bitter women
It’s a hate site that targets African American men, that should be watch-listed by the FBI:mjpls:

What the fukk is LSA? A far right extremist site of whiny MAGA bytches?

an actual TLR as in "The Ladies Room". Basically "nikkas aint shyt" the forum. similar to how TLR here is "if you dont embody a tariq/kevin samuels mentality youre a c00n" even though none of these nikkas in real life live any of the insane expectations they have for themselves.

The one conclusion i came through visiting both forums is that nobody is that invested in negativity unless their personal lives are fukking misrable

Gang violence...
of the top repubs right now, kamala is a 55/45 likely winner against them. i think if it is 2024, the memory of how horrible trump was will help give her a slight edge.

if this goes out to 2028, i think democrat voters will be more complacent or even disillusioned at 8 years of neoliberal policy and end up allowing a wild republican like MTG to win. i wish the cypher didnt complete but we see how things like the shrinking of the stimulus, shrinking student debt forgiveness, and even some wavering on minimum wage is likely to just leave aging millennials in a bad way. i think people like schumer see this and want to do a little better but here we are...

In the world.. outside of the coli,

She is popular, but generates close to zero excitement. Basically she's famous but not loved. Clinton, Bush, Obama, Regan, etc were loved. Biden wasnt loved but he had that Obama stimulus PLUS he was going against Trump who had the media running 24/7 negativity on.
During her primary run , she was a Bust, even among black people... especially black males. Her popularity among black male is even lower now. White people dont like her, in general.
She was championed close to the end of the general election to offset some black people and some liberals being uncomfortable with Biden (but having to vote Biden due to Trump being the only option).

Her symbolic victory as the First black Indian woman VP.... is already wearing off. It's almost not even a news story any longer. Fastest I've seen something like that vanish. Obama STILL has his symbolic victory, we still hype him up and hes not even In office.

Michelle Obama would beat her RIGHT now in a general election, and Michelle Obama isnt even the only progressive woman that could beat her.

Trump has almost half the nation on his back, despite being allegedly the worst human in history. Kamala doesnt even have a base yet. I'm not saying she couldnt generate one, but she'd have to separate herself in the next 4 yrs, something that most VPs dont do. Plus she'd have to Actually advocate for at least 1 Black Only policy- something she said she wouldn't do.
Plus she'd have to get away from Bidens Moderate Democrat label and go towards the new Left base who wants real progressive policies- something she cant do cuz shes a modern democratic, low key war Hawk, high key Pro Police and Justice system, anti black specific legislation, and isn't progressive as most current democratic women politicians.

I realized that I was out of touch with the majority when Biden won the democratic nomination because it was pragmatic.

And I agree that she has time to establish an identity which she clearly doesn’t have yet. I don’t know that anyone is going to challenge her in 4-8 years. Dem voters fall in line and I expect the progressive wing to be demoralized and marginalized by the end of the Biden/Harris administration. Elizabeth Warren isn’t going to be president. Neither is Bernie. And the democratic primary will go through the south just like last cycle. As of today, I’d say that her chances aren’t bad unless like you said someone like Michelle Obama ran.

For all of Kamala’s flaws I think she’ll turnout the black vote just like Biden did. For some reason older black voters love name recognition. And she’s going to have that.
