If you're black then you probably live in an area where other black people tend to live and as such the percentage of black people where you're at will probably be higher. That doesn't mean there's some huge conspiracy that every census worker in the country is in on.

I worked for the 2010 census. The census is just for clarification purposes. Whether you answer or not, they know yo ass exist and a general idea of how many people live in each dwelling.

It makes no sense. Its literally no cities or suburbs that are majority asian, and its barely any where asians are even over 20% of the population.
Yet theres tons of cities where blaccs are the majority or make up a good portion of the population, but yet somehow theres only twice as many blacks as asians lol man gtfo.

Yes I believe it.

Many immigrants and hispanics have came here. The population increases and the percentages change b/c of it, but the number of black people stays the same.

Ex. There are 25/100 blue balls in a bag. That means 25% of the balls in the bag are blue. More balls were added, none of them were blue. There are still 25 blue balls in the bag, but since more balls were added there are 25/200 blue balls in the bag. That changes the percentage of blue balls in the bag to 12.5% even though the same number of blue balls are still inside of the bag.

You get it now?

The number of blackpeople is the same, it's just that the number of other races in the U.S have increased dramatically, especially hispanic/latino.

Why are our numbers still the same? Abortions, people not wanting to have kids or start families, deaths, murders, gang violence.

I'm not sure if Africans who came from Africa (like those whose ancestors weren't US slaves, just to be clear) are included with the percentage of black people/African americans. It can be confusing, that's why some people think we should have a different name that African American.

In America Black is black, the only Africans who may get away with not checking off black on a census or some kind of report are North African Arabs and east Africans considered "Caucasian".

Why do people refuse to acknowledge there are an overwhelming amount of people who dont participate in census reports? The only time avg person checks off anything regarding race are EEO surveys that are part of job apps and those do not go towards any reports used to determine US population makeup.

The only thing i can see skewing data is the option for "non white latino" which would include Afro Latinos and the people we consider to be "brown".

The 2010 Census showed that the U.S. population on April 1, 2010, was 308.7 million. Out of the total U.S. population, 14.7 million people, or 4.8 percent, were Asian alone (see Table 1). In addition, 2.6 million people, or another 0.9 percent, reported Asian in combination with one or more other races. Together, these two groups totaled 17.3 million people. Thus, 5.6 percent of all people in the United States identified as Asian, either alone or in combination with one or more other races.

asian alone is 4.8 and its still nothing close to saying that they are at half the rate as blacks.

It actually does make sense. asians live in even higher concentration that blacks. Also there are plenty of west coast and east coast regions in which they are the majority, lets not even talk about hawaii.

Like some people said earlier, you really have had to travel around the US to talk because it sort of comes off as if you are talking about things you have no idea about when you post the things you just posted.

Hell they probably don't count all of the people that are out of jail. I can't see Census workers taking a chance to count people in some of the rough ass neighborhoods that I grew up in on the West Side of Chicago. I am not joking when I write that I never saw a census worker when I was growing up, so I am assuming that the government mailed the Census form to my parents or that they used estimates or public records to conduct some of their counts.

They also are not counting homeless dudes and people that are kind of transient.

Yeah but there's a shyt ton of white people outside of the major cities tho. Most of us live in cities where there are a decent amount of black ppl in your presence. Rural and suburban America is a sea of white.

I think this 13% stat is a lie. It never changes. It never seems to budge. Every census it's the same thing. Odd as hell.

It doesn't matter where I go in this country there's Black people. Even in white towns you'll see a good chunk of the women walking around with mixed babies.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is suspicious of that 13% permanent minority nonsense.

no i'm not suspicious. because every where you go you do not see a lot of black people. thats not true at all unless the only places you have been is thru the south where a lot of us are or in major cities in the midwest. blacks are in inner cities in the midwest, east coast, west coast, but everywhere else its a white out like you have no idea. I know for a fact its more latins and a lot more whites in L.A. than their are blacks. even moreso then when i was a kid. moreso doesnt mean more as in the number. it means more in comparison to the rest.

The black strongholds we had out here are almost all gone except for some of the super low spots which are slowly becoming latin.

we're 13% in america. its true. lets say for arguments sake we're20%, the liked about 7. still a small minority in comparison to whites.

Nah, I started to question it when I drove to South Dakota a few years back and there were black people there.

they recently got there due to the big oil boom i have in laws that made that same run down there. blacks aint in the dakotas like that. some go to college to play sports out there as well. similar to boise,ID where i also have fam out there in college and have known dudes who played ball for boise st.
