what the fukk did those #'s mean? y not put the number of balls each team has in the lotto machine. and put the logo of said teams on their lottery balls and pick them like that? simple as hell.

Thats how they did it the year orlando won with 1 ball, and they said it was rigged

If the NBA wants more parity they have to remove the Lottery and give the worst team the best pick.

How are the bottom teams supposed to get better when they can't sign big FAs in their markets, and they don't have the top pick to rebuild on every year? It's ridiculous.

I know it's trying to stop tanking, but shyt, sometimes that's the best and only option for some of these franchises.

Those were through trades though. Just like the Pistons in 03 or the Cavs in 11. It wasn't like those squads were just being awarded the top pick or anything.

I don't think it's rigged but I do think it is stupid the way it's currently set up. It doesn't really prevent tanking which is supposed to be the point of it in the first place. You are still rewarding squads for having sucky records and you are still guaranteed a top 4 spot if you tank. I say either give all non-playoff teams the same shot or just do it by inverse order of the record. It would be interesting to see a top pick not end up on a completely squad every once and a while.

No it's not. There's a sob story for every team so fans tend to think that.

In reality, team reps sit in a room and get read off hundreds of 4 digit combinations till the top 3 picks are decided.

Would make for some real exciting TV
