Do you think there is a disconnect between corny black men and black women?

ATL, but rasied in DMV
Being on a site where somebody actually said they had to google RFK, the real definition of corny is somebody who tells jokes, and nobody laughs, or they have to laugh at their own jokes.

So they married guys they consider ugly? Where they having sex before marriage and just stopped? Seems kind of crazy to marry someone you don't vibe with at all just for companionship. What are they gonna do wait until the kids are grown up, house paid off and then file for Divorce? What's the end game cheat on the side? They're husbands are only going to put up with this for so long.

Because they believed other things mattered more. Like how much money he made, his personality, how he treats her, etc. they were able to have sex with him more during the honey moon period because it was still new but even then it wasn’t as good as it was with other men they were more attracted to. In the end they got the security, marriage, but without good sex/a decent sex life. It happens often enough. And these are typically the situations where you hear husbands complaining about not having much sex with their wives. Like yes they find their wives attractive and want it, but the wife doesn’t feel that same attraction. I would think it would be in breh’s best interest to want a woman who sexually desires them and finds them attractive. Not being used or settled for, but it seems like that’s what some Brehs want.

I had to look this up to understand what you were talking about. He looks like an average breh that hangs out at comic conventions though

His looks aren’t the big issue. He’s not ugly. But He’s socially awkward and definitely seems to be on the spectrum. Come on now breh. Like really.

Are you light skin? :mjpls:

look at my name: CarmelBarbie. That’s my complexion. Why?

They'd be off and safer going overseas and getting an African, Brazilian, Caribbean, Colombian, etc... If they gonna get a White girl, they'd be better off getting her from some where overseas as well.

they can go anywhere they want to get a woman. Yolo.

Really, lmao being corny is not an ethnic group I don't understand how dudes internalized this so badly.
One of the biggest problem is both Black men and women have accepted pessimistic mantras as some sort of empowering tool. They’ll have phrases/themes repeated constantly to them like “bytches ain’t shyt” “nikkas ain’t shyt” “pawgs are better” “divesting is better” and wonder why they can’t form intra-racial bonds… you’ve programmed yourself to have disdain for your fellow Black brothas and sisters. Music, Commercials, social media, news, podcasts, YouTube, p0rn… these messages seem to be sent on all fronts permeating your subconscious. If there was any agenda… this is it. :yeshrug:

The point I was trying to get across, and perhaps I should have done a better job articulating this, is that there’s a lot of people within our community that get bushed simply for not fitting into a certain archetype of looks, interest, or personality.

I’ve seen many black men and women complain about this phenomena, so either both sides are lying or both sides are telling the truth.

There’s a lot of people that would bush a Kentaji Jackson type queen and then play the ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about’ game when they see men and women like her dating out.

Note: I’m just using her as a placeholder without actually meaning her specifically

I don’t know if folks reject these peoples lived experience because it doesn’t conflate with their own or if they just don’t want acknowledge the pain

As a matter of fact, I remember going to school with an African breh that got lit up everyday simply for being African and getting all his fits from target. The white kids would go out of their way to make friends with him, so guess who he spent the majority of his time with?
