Do you think we will ever have a talent like Michael Jackson in the future again?

There’s always been unique people around fam.

Mike just happened to be born as the right time. Television, radio, the internet, newspapers & magazines. This allowed his reach to be global

Same with Jordan
It's more than that..he's been special since he was a little boy...than he gets to Thriller and Heal the World levels...no...he was meant to be. Just like Malcolm X and Martin Luther King were meant to rise and fight for Civil Rights.

Talent and impact is two different things, Mike had both in spades obviously but even if someone did come along with the talent...what field are they applying it in? Music? I don't think the way music works as of now would allow a "Michael Jackson" to thrive, he could easily end up ahead of his time and not be nearly as popular or appreciated.

Now impact...to me for sure. Not 1:1 comparison or even for the same reasons, but there are some great minds on the planet right here and now. And with everything breaking down, the only way forward is to create new paths forward for everything. The world changers are among us, and you might be one of them.

Michael had the perfect combo of song and dance. But his style of dance at the time was totally unique to him. I just don’t see the perfect combo artist existing today where they change the landscape in both music and dance. Dancing today is just basically people copying each other’s moves. There’s not much originality in this space any longer.

Bruno is probably the closest we have as far as being an entertainer. But Bruno’s music really doesn’t push the envelope like Michaels did.

Not until the current low brow, looking for a cheat code method of reaching the top of an artistic profession bottoms out.
Michael Jacksons, Jordans, Kobes, Princes, etc are created through the hard work of learning the one's craft and working at it until mastering it.
Michael surpassed his peers because mastery wasn't enough. He wanted to push boundaries and do things never done before.
It took him about 20 years to reach that point. We don't realize it because he started so young.
That approach is too time consuming and labor intensive and the current generations are not interested in those things at all.

All this

Teenage Justin Bieber at the height of Bieber mania is close to MJ level fame IMO :hubie:

Y’all forget he had grown women fighting children to get closer to the stage, tried to put a baby on him, and had teenage girls inflicting serious harm on themselves over (I forgot but some dumb shyt) :hubie:

I’m just sayin I think folks forget how serious Biebermania was at its peak…creh was sellin out arenas when I was in middle school

No...back then music wasn't as available as it is now. We are wayyy oversaturated.

Chris Brown and the Weeknd exist :comeon:. Following in the GOAT's footsteps:wow:

If cb had the weeknds voice and music i would agree..but the weeknds closest song thats mj-esque was "in the night (not counting the D.D. rendition) and the video bombed
