Do you think we will ever have a talent like Michael Jackson in the future again?

Is it possible ? Yes

But they would never be given a chance to fail or develop like all of the all time greats did.

Society has an obsession with "newness" & finding the one "next big thing".

We crown folks way early in the game without them going through the lumps of being a performer/musician.

I don’t understand The Weeknd comparison.. he doesn’t sing nor dance well.. he jus has a similar tone/timbre. Did y’all not see his super bowl? What about him makes y’all wanna compare him to MJ.. CB more similar to Usher than MJ
Im confused..

The truth is that these suits running the record labels don’t want another MJ. Especially after Michael Jackson hustled up and bought up half of Sony’s publishing plus the Beatles catalog.

Jackson was more than just an amazing entertainer. He was also intelligent, and that scared all the bean counters running the record labels.

Read some of the lyrics to his songs:

Nation to nation
All the world
Must come together
Face the problems
That we see
Then maybe somehow we can work it out
I asked my neighbor
For a favor
She said later
What has come of
All the people
Have we lost love
Of what it's about

I have to find my peace cuz
No one seems to let me be
False prophets cry of doom
What are the possibilities
I told my brother
There'll be problems
Times and tears for fears
We must live each day
Like it's the last
- Jam

Speculate to break the one you hate
Circulate the lie you confiscate
Assassinate and mutilate
As the hounding media in hysteria
Who's the next for you to resurrect
JFK exposed the CIA
Truth be told the grassy knoll
As the blackmail story in all your glory
- Tabloid Junkie

Tell me what has become of my rights
Am I invisible 'cause you ignore me?
Your proclamation promised me free liberty, now
I'm tired of bein' the victim of shame
They're throwin' me in a class with a bad name
I can't believe this is the land from which I came
You know I really do hate to say it
The government don't wanna see
But it Roosevelt was livin', he wouldn't let this be, no, no
- They Don’t Care About Us

MJ was operating on a higher level of consciousness, and that had a lot of people shook.

NO

I doubt anyone would be as humble as Mike..that person would have to be a Virgo if you believe in that stuff.

Mike down to earth persona attracted millions.

Could you imagine a Michael Jackson with the ego of say Prince?

I bet it upset Mike seeing all those poor people in brasil. Like Mike had the money to change poverty but it must suck when the people who are supposed to be doing something weren't doing jack shyt.

Michael jackson was an angel sent to earth to make our lives easier more tolerable until we reach heaven. I choose to see life that way..

Brehs and brehettes we all gotta help each other cross the finish line:ohlawd:

No. Mike came at a time where a person had a chance to thrive based on skill alone.
Entertainment today is more about fitting an aesthetic than delivering a skillfully made piece of media.
There are some insane talents walking around today that either see marginal success or no success at all because they don’t look the part.

The dikkriding is insane, mj is already a relic of a bygone age, plenty of more talented musicians out there, and the likes of Beatles and Madonna were just as big as him.

The problem with modern day artists is not the talent, it's that they aren't being cultivated the same way artists were in the past. Someone with MJ level talent will certainly be born again, if they haven't already, but the elements that helped shape MJ into what he became won't be there so that person will never reach the creative heights MJ did.
