That's it in a nutshell.
We're so spoiled and use to big voiced black women, so much so that we disregard them. But we salivate over white people who can blast an octave or two and hit a run n a scat.
And the industry feeds from that dynamic.
Check the backup singers all throughout Adele's performances. Good enough to be in the dim lighting, but not the spotlight.

Technique can be taught/fixed (though I imagine at this point with this much success it won't) but this makes more sense than acting like her voice is mediocre. If it was she'd be another white singer whose albums go double zirconia.
You must not have read my post or chose to harp on me not falling into the Coli-acceptable "yes and every black singer out today has a better voice than her" because my initial comment on the topic literally acknowledged this.

Oh hell. I forgot the 2016 Grammy performance when Adele was so damn off key and pitchy she ended up blaming it on technical difficulties.

I don't think she sounds "black" at all but I'm def in the minority there - they played her video on BET soul every muthafukkin day
Of course it's cuz she's white. Anybody denying that is stupid. Adele provides a white version of black musical soulful style. Whites want our culture but they have to filter it thru White mediums to make it acceptable for consumption and acknowledgement. Whites will NEVER hype blk artists the way some blks hype white artists, and when they do, it's a thinly veiled attempt to appropriate said culture in the future. So they overhype white mimicry of blk sounds. They will never admit to this however. To do so would violate white supremacy code that runs just below the Western collective consciousness.
