Horrible example. Hes also marketed as a sex symbol, can dance and put on a show. He also acts. Hes an entertainer. He also has the fact that he started out as a kid going for him. Adele isnt viewed as a sex symbol and isnt known for her dancing. Mediocrity as far as singing is only accepted if the performer has other attributes they can push.

But how can you just dead it when the highest selling rap artist of all time admitted that he only sold that much because he's white? The highest selling soul artist and the highest selling rapper are both white, that's not a coincidence. No, being white does not mean you well be a successful star and sell a lot of records, but on that level being white does give you additional sales that you wouldn't have gotten of you were black.

The industry is trying to White wash Black music and commercialize it. That's why there's no market for Black r&b singers right now. As long as you have mediocre artists like Adele, Justin Timberlake, etc etc appropriating Black music and doing piss poor imitations of Black artists...there's no need for nothing else.

The biggest selling r&b album this year was Mary J's album. Strength of a Woman is at like 155k in total right now. Got good reviews across the board. So it's not like the music isn't there but the industry is different these days.

Bruno mars who is not white is doing major number, he just dropped one of the GOAT Albums with with 24k

He had great song writing
Great beats
He hit homeruns with his lead tracks.
24k was a uptown funk remake
Versace on the floor was classic
