Does any city make another city irrelevant the way NYC does Philly

I liked Chicago more than NYC. The pier is a straight tourist trap but Portillo's and Al's Italian Beef made a breh happy. Lou Malnati's though .

Didn't spend enough time in Philly, but it's definitely a nice city. Ended up at Tony Luke's in South Philly a few summer's ago. My homeboy called me and I put him on speaker while standing in line. This dude starts talking shyt about the Iggles (Cowboys fan like me) and was loud as fukk. Needless to say, I got some looks. Half the dudes in line were wearing Eagles gear and I didn't want those problems lol!

-One of the most visited places in the world
- Willis Tower is the second tallest building in the US

Think about it. Philly has 1.5 million people. It is the second largest city on the east coast. Its crazy to think if NYC never existed philly would be a top 3 most talked about place in the country, but since NYC DOES exist, philly isnt even top 10.


Only other city that remotely comes close is LA making San Diego completely irrelevant, but even still Philly is leaps and bounds a better city than San DIego with more history and diversity, yet NYC just makes it a non factor to 99% of people.

For those of us who dont live or have family on the East Coast, Philly has no prevailing identity, charm, or attractive feature. Not saying its lacking any of those things, its just horribly overshadowed by NYC and honestly DC and Boston as well.

But we are talking about NYC, where far too many broke ass black men and women have been swept up by the culture of NYC and deluded themselves into thinking they are actually living the life advertised by popular media. They aren't. I've been to NYC. Like every other major city in the northeast, the state of black people in that city - especially black men - is a depressing sight.
