A lot of people just don't want to live in one place for their whole life. So a lot of folks move around in their 20's and 30's. A lot of people are comfortable moving from city to city .

San Francisco to Oakland. SF is promoted as some liberal tolerant world class pristine crime free city on par with Paris and Oakland is depicted as a ghetto shythole with no nice areas. The truth is both cities have good and bad areas. Actually, historically, the worst areas of SF are hella shytier than the worst areas of Oakland. Hunters Point, SF has the highest infant mortality rate in California. The projects in Hunters Point and Sunnydale are more rundown than anything in Oakland. Both SF and Oakland used to have roughly the same number of homicides many years, the only difference is that SF is twice the size of Oakland. Not too long ago, SF had a higher murder rate for blacks than Oakland because at least Oakland has a black middle class whereas nearly all of SF's remaining black population resides in the projects.

But if you listen to popular opinion based on cac perspective, SF is a "nice place" and Oakland is the one and only ghetto in the Bay Area. But gentrification is quickly turning stereotypes into reality in the Bay as SF continues to lose its black population. SF has had the most severe case of black flight of any city in the country.

Underrated, I'm from Cleveland but Columbus vibe on another level if I wasn't moving to DMV I would move to Columbus.

I don't know about the Philly NYC thing. As far as our demograp/culture, Philly kinda overshadows NYC.

DC wants to be on some sucker shyt. "We don't want you to have your own shyt, we want you to use ours" type shyt . ...not gonna happen. Baltimore is more unique than DC and Philly in my opinion. I don't think any of the other cities care what's going on in NYC.

I don't like how DC wants Baltimore to be part of that DMV shyt. There is no "we" shyt around here. We aren't Wizards' fans, we aren't Redskins' fans, we Don't fukk with Gogo, this isn't the "Capitol Region" or the "DMV." Baltimore does its own thing, we don't ride other cities' coattails.

DC and Baltimore is two different worlds, and people from both cities acknowledge that. Nobody in DC wants Baltimore to be part of the DMV. That don't even make any sense. DMV= DC Metro area. Don't know where you're even getting that from other than maybe the owner of the Wizards and Caps marketing his teams in Baltimore.
