Finally spoke to my doctor about it and he gave me a prescription for Vyvanse. He said he wanted me to try Vyvanse first and see how i like it but if i want to try Adderall he'd give it to me another time.

Anyone tried it before?

THis is my second day using it and i can see SOME improvement but i guess it doesnt work miracles. I feel like im a lot less impulsive. I have more self control. I'll be doing something and think about jumping onto something else but somehow i refocus on what im doing. THe few times that i do allow myself to get distracted i have enough focus to go back to the original task instead on jumping onto another then another then another like i used to.

The comedown from high doses of Vyvanse is the fukking worst. I do occasionally take it though, but I'm not prescribed anything now.

Used to be prescribed Concerta and Ritalin but I quit taking it. At first it might seem cool but taking it every day, but isn't something I'd want to do for a long period of time, especially at higher doses.

That's not too high, 60/70 does just as much bad as good. Just make sure you're drinking plenty of water and eating small snacks throughout the day. L-Theanine smooths things over too.

THink i'm gonna give up using Vyvanse.

Im only like 2 weeks into using it (40mg) and the "crash" is almost unbearable to me. Especially on days when i DON'T take it. I really struggled the last 2 days and I highly suspect it's because i dont take it on the weekends. I was already struggling most of the day on saturday and couldnt fall asleep either at first. Stopped by my jumpoff's place and chilled for a bit. Tried to sleep and couldnt fall asleep. Then i went to a fight party and it was just getting worst. I didnt even stay i left before the fight even started.

Yeah thats the other thing on the weekdays i usually have about 64 to 72 or more ounces of water. On the weekends... not so much. Unless i worked out. Which is not too often these days.

But i just dont wanna get to a point where i depend on it. See previous post from today

Switched over to Focalin XR. The stimulant helps me out more than the traditional methylphenidate and it helps me actually give a shyt when people are talking to me, which is probably a good thing since im in management:russ:

How many of you were diagnosed by an actual doctor versus diagnosing yourself?

My Family Dr sent me to a Psychologist who tends to specialize in adult ADD/ADHD. He is referral only at this point.

My Doc knew what it was but did not feel comfortable making the diagnosis as he doesnt have much of a background in it.

They also have top notch counseling there.

My only complaint is he stopped taking insurance. He was gonna retire because MMO's were making it difficult to treat patients how he thought they should be. He said fukk it and decided to charge a fee based on what service he was providing.

The rates aint super unreasonable or anything but a quick check up, discussing my meds apnd script writing cost me 100 bucks instead of a 20 buck copay.

Good thing is I dont gotta drop anymore :blessed:unless one of my meds can cause a false positive then he will do it and put it in your file and help if you fail a work one or something.

The counseling still covered though

Was diagnosed in college by a psychologist that came in. I recommend reading fast minds it's a great book for people formally diagnosed or some that have ADHD like symptoms. The best thing and hardest thing to do is formulating a schedule. Highly recommend it rather than just taking drugs.

Stopped taking pills for like 4 months now because of the headaches and crash symptoms. I feel like I'm getting better, my work area is clean and I'm becoming more organized.

Also stay active and be goal oriented. Best of luck.
