Yeah he does deserve it.

As a player thats the price you pay when....
A. You want to be the man, the face of the franchise, in a city like New York no less.
B. You signed that ridiculous contract extension (4 years, 80+million)

Considering these things, you know what you signed up for. No sense in complaining/pouting/crying about the treatment (whether publicly or privately), especially when its a small price to pay compared to the rewards.

Eh, a lot of his teammates are getting looks, you got a dude like Jason Kidd out there that half the coli could do what he's doing now. I don't see anyone making those dudes around him better, they are what they are.

But if youre Melo & you realize that how you're playing isn't efficient or helping your team win, at some point don't you try to change how you play to get your teammates better & easier shots? If he's the leader of the team, talk to Woody, demand the ball in the high post & say the offense runs through me. He could set his team up EASILY, but he plays a selfish style of ball that doesn't win & doesn't care enough to try & switch it up

why is Jason Kidd playing? who's allowing that?

until someone within the Knicks organization addresses that we should reserve criticism...

He was trying tonight, he passed out of a lot of jumpers and dudes were straight up bricking. He's not a good playmaker and doesn't have the instincts for it, this isn't like Kobe where Kobe could be a good playmaker if he wanted to be, Melo just doesn't have that in him. What you see is what you get from him, the playmaker gene just isn't in him.

And the Knicks around him really aren't that good, lets be real about it, who outside of JR can really create their own shot? If these dudes aren't hitting 3s, it's a wrap for them, add to the fact that Indiana just closes out too well, especially since the spacing is so fukked for them. I mean just look at the starting 5s they been using in the playoffs, they usually have 3 guys in the starting lineup you really don't have to worry about offensively.

I think a lot of fans forget that basketball is still a job. If you are on a team with somebody at work and they are getting paid more than you, then yes they should have more responsibilities...

At work, if something goes wrong. my lead takes the blame for it..Hence him making more $$$$$ than us. When things go right, guess who gets all the credit?

People talking basketball this and you don't know basketball...blah blah blah... Basketball is no different than the job you go to everyday besides the pay.

Thats a good perspective that often gets overlooked. Whether he likes it or not, hes gonna be a target for everyones ire, whether fair or not. The question is whether hes strong enough to shoulder it.

They're up shyt creek without a paddle for the next two seasons, this is the Knicks team you will be seeing until 2015-2016. They have $60 million tied up between Amare, Melo and Chandler and unless they do some serious wheeling and dealing on trades I don't see how they get much better. Maybe buying picks in the draft.

Then again, if the Mavs could win a title with that roster, there's still hope.

IDK breh, silly Knicks fans & overhyped analysts had NYK winning this series. Felton setting everybody up, Melo & JR making shots, Kidd providing veteran leadership, Chandler & Kenyon providing toughness & defense...this team was supposed to be a conference finalist. Melo gotta get some blame for not making his team better breh

Lebron, Durant, Healthy Wade and Dwight, Kobe, Chris Paul, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Derrick Rose, Paul George, Marc Gasol, James Harden

I'd throw Stephen Curry, Rondo & Russ in there too. Melo ain't top 15 in this scenario

He deserves some blame, but I'm not gonna dump on him, cause the Pacers definitely look like the better team and are exposing a lot of the weaknesses the Knicks have. After Melo, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and arguably 6th (Lance) best players in this series are all on the Pacers.
