If you actually read the bible (which most non believers don't though they will claim they do) He's not a "magic father figure on the sky" He said His name is I AM. Meaning He is ALL that exists.

He is within you...and me. He is the source of your questions and rejections drawing you closer.

Doubt is fine. I've had them. Still do. Got lots of questions too.

But I'd never say I'm so smart I could explain the whole world or all of that which is created. I can't run a universe..neither can you.

It's not anymore "telepathic" than a microwave or a radio wave or oxygen. There are millions of things that EXIST that are not perceptible by the human five senses or can't be quickly explained in one sentence or a whole book.

Doesn't mean they don't exist. Doesn't mean you aren't using them every day.

Get on the next level.

You don't even sound like a non believer just someone who isn't informed and hasn't done any real research.

Talk to God about your questions, bet money you get an answer.

My quick test, speak out loud, THERE IS NO GOD AND HE DOESN'T LOVE ME. and see if that feels 100% correct and cool in your mind and heart. If so, you're a true atheist and want a life away from God...if not....you need to keep digging, figure out where your issues and contradictions lie...
:dead: honestly i thought you were spiritual or something, but i didnt know you were a bible thumper :mjlol:

i'll read the bible right after you read the quran, ancient greek and egyptian mythology, and the hindu Vedas. unless you tell me why i should value the bible over those, and why those people are all wrong and the bible is correct

and just to clarify, are we talking about the "king james" bible? :scusthov:

basically this

i just cant get over thinking that you're on a first name basis with the creator of the universe :dead: the pinnacle of human bullshyt and arrogance

Humans have always made up shyt to explain what they couldn't understand. I just think it's crazy people are in 2016 living off some shyt created centuries, even millenia ago. Would you go to a doctor who practices like he's in the 8th century? You wouldn't. Or operate on a code of conduct/ethics that came out somewhere between the bronze age and iron age? That's crazy. Long as you keep it to yourself and don't try to force it on me then do you.

I'm not a Bible thumper. I believe in spirit. I believe in many paths leading to one truth. Ultimately, I'm a sinning and broken hoe who been on the edge of death and back.

Most of the people who actually contributed to the Bible were murders thieves and more.... the worst of the worst. God meets you in those dark places....where you aint shyt. He right there. I'm testament and so are many others.

I've read many of the other texts.....most overlap in tooo many ways to write off as coincidence. I'm got my degree in cultural Anthropology. Not a civilization to ever walk this earth denied the existence of a higher power...not one. From beginning to today.

We may have different names and different creation stories....different prayers... but a human being who doesn't believe in something higher than himself and isn't seeking that which is beyond themselves.
....the unexplainable....isn't human at all.

It isn't about right or wrong at the end of the day. Those are concepts created by God for us to explore. We wrestle with "right v. Wrong" every single day. We do both. Inside and out. That's the nature of living on a planet that is seeking balance and asking for your conscious choice. Which one do you choose?

Both and all exists.

You can read whatever translation you like.....it's all the same message. Like how "I love you" is the same in every langauge. Different words, same message.

I guess I don't get the answer to my question. Here's a different and more clear scenario

"3 year old child gets cancer, incredibly painful, incredibly debilitating, incredibly awful, dies a very painful death."

What does this have to do with free will? Where is the "God is good all the time" in this scenario? We could all agree that this is "bad" and "heartbreaking" I would imagine that only sick people would say "God is good" in this situation, they would say "it was part of God's plan" or they would spin it and say "well the baby got cancer and God is good because he put the baby out of it's misery" but why was the misery caused in the first place?

Look at the story of Job

I bet you that cancer kid has a great awards in heaven that no one could ever dream of happening

Many people take issue with faith in God when confronted with instances of "innocents who suffer"

My thinking is this. ....1. God Himself came to earth as a complete innocent and SUFFERED. They did Jesus who was literally the only perfect person ever. ...so dirty. 2. God Himself said "my thoughts are not your thoughts and my ways are not your ways" 3. Humans are very arrogant and we will scoff at out own very Creator if he doesn't run the world HE created and managed to our tastes.

In the book of Job.... (another innocent you suffered....see the theme) they asked God why he would do job this way! Who the hell did he think he was? God answered.

Tell me what sun you caused to rise and caused to set? Basically. ....who do yall think yall are to tell God how to do and be GOD? such ignorance (Imma go to bible gateway and post the actual text)

People don't work to understand God as a being. ...with feelings and plans. Instead, He is falsely seen as some faceless figure or genie that must please all people at all times....and if he doesn't he's failed and further.....doesn't even exist. Let that sink in. We know how much God loves us .....it's embarrassing how little so many of us lover him back.

1. The takeaway is life on earth is not without suffering.....for anyone. Even God suffered. Who told you you were entitled to a life without it? Who do you know that has a life here without any suffering? Where did you even get the concept of a suffering-free life from.... and who told you, you were owed it? This is like saying each person should be able to shyt rainbows for fun and since they don't, God ain't shyt and if you were God everyone would shyt rainbows. ....

More directly, you personally feel that if you were omnipotent you would not allow suffering....yet you likely have caused some form of suffering to someone else, maybe even people you love. ..without even having that breadth of limitless power....who is to say what you would do if you had it. .. yes, suffering is an unpleasant aspect of human life. We do not live in a utopia.

2. You made not one damn point here and in all caps at that. If you don believe....then don't.

3. God didn't go and decree the deaths of thousands of Haitians. God created storms, wind, oceans, earthquakes, wildfires, floods. Tons of different manifestations of weather. Do you care about all the Asians killed in the tsunamis? The homes of the animals killed by fires and floods? Or would you like to continue to project your limited ideas of who should live and who should die onto God and then reject Him when He's not redirecting the whole course of the universe by your uniformed biased and likely ever-changing opinions? :stopitslime: the only one with some "nerve" in that scenario. ....is you breh.

Girl.... I love you more and more with each and every post. Thank you!

What do you think the purpose of the Bible is ?

To control people ? Did some humans just come up with random stories for no reason

You guys really need to think
I know most people are turned off by religion because of the "religious" people they see

It's so deep
