The East is just in a real pitiful state and has been for a number of years. Look at his competition in the past five Eastern Conference Finals:
2012 - the Celtics were on the decline ever since KG injured himself in the '09 Conference Finals. A team with prime LeBron, Wade and Bosh should've beat this washed up version of the Big 3 in about 5 or 6 games.
2013 - an overachieving Pacers team. Their best player was a "green" Paul George who was only starting because Danny Granger was out for the season.
2014 - a Pacers team that were poorly coached, lacked any depth and found themselves gassed out by the time the playoffs came around because they were chasing the #1 seed throughout the regular season. The fact that they went seven games with the Hawks tells you everything you need to know about that team. Meanwhile, the Thunder and the Spurs were battling it out in the West.
2015 - a 60-win Atlanta Hawks team in which Jeff Teague was arguably their second best player that year after Millsap. Meanwhile, the Clippers and the Spurs were battling it out in the 1st round of the playoffs.
2016 - the Raptors were probably the best competition he's faced, but they would've been obliterated by the Thunder, Spurs and Warriors that year.
2017 - hopefully it's the Wizards as they're a "decent team", but it looks like it's going to be the Celtics. This a team with the likes of Kelly Olynyk, Tyler Zeller and Al Horford providing "rim protection". Plus you've got players like Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder playing on the perimeter who you can hide Kyrie out on the defensive end. If the Cavs-Celtics series goes anything more than 5 games it's because the league wants it that way.

The guy is going to have only won 3 out of 8 match-ups against the West after this years Finals, and two of those wins were just about the most flukiest and unconvincing victories ever seen in Finals history (2013 Finals and 2016 Finals).

Although they're young, hopefully that Bucks team with Giannis, Parker, Middleton, Brogdon, Maker, et al. continues developing, because aside from them the Cavs really have no other potential threats in the East.

Yall just keep on with this superteam stuff :mjlol:

Cavs are NOT a superteam they wouldn't even make the fukking playoffs without lebron out but they are a super team? :russ:

Just say you want lebron to have 2007 type squads every year and to lose in the finals so you can shyt on him instead of being a fakkit :MjgrinAnime:

It's a combination of factors:

1. LeBron is obviously a major one. Hate all you want. Cop all the pleas for guys that can't make the playoffs without him all you want but the guy clearly has a substantial impact on whatever teams he is on.
2. Ping pong balls is another one. Seems like all the talent that came after him was drafted to the west. East does have some young studs on the come up.
3. shytty management. Most FOs are average to shytty. The couple that know what they are doing always tend to be out West.

All that said the East ain't as bad as people make it out to be and the gap between the East and the West ain't what people make it out to be.

The stans have reached new levels breh, they trying to claim LeBron was never on a superteam:mjlol:. He's chasing the ghost of MJ but when he plays the team he's chasing out West in the Finals say they'll say he's a huge underdog:wow: shyt don't add up

That ish is criminal. His stans and the stans he has in the media like Colin Cowherd are trying to rewrite history for him. Something definitely don't add up.

LeBron didn't run shyt in the East til he got his ass beat in 2010 and then ran to Miami to start this super team shyt we see today. His stans will have u believe that he defeated a prime Boston team in 2012 but in reality that team was old as dirt and 4 years removed from their only title run.

Just as a hypothetical compare the 2 seed in the west to the Cavs this year. San Antonio had to play Memphis, Houston, and now Golden State.....not to mention eventually Cleveland in the finals if they somehow get past the warriors. Now compare that to the TRASH that LeBron hs been competing against in the playoffs so far:jbhmm:

The East is trash and LeBron has benefited from that ever since he disrupted the balance of power back in 2011.

You don't remember when this dude finally beat Boston he broke down on the court and had a moment. Like dude I don't see a Cleveland jersey on you. Next it took you to go to Miami and team up with Wade and Bosh in Miami to beat those dusted dudes. That whole display from him was shameful.

The east isn't as weak as people make it seem but people hate LeBron so they need something to hate on him about. The west has more championship caliber teams but the other teams are garbage. The east has alot of middle of the pack teams. When Bron retires there will be a new player to hate on.
This is basically it. Even though the Celtics probably have as much of a chance to make a championship as the Spurs
