BUT U SAY THE INFAMOUS IS LIGHTYEARS AHEAD OF DOGG FOOD

WHEN A GOOD PORTION OF WEST COAST FANS ACTUALLY RANK DOGG FOOD ABOVE AEOM AND MAKAVELI
I wouldn’t say it’s light years better than Dogg Food either. Dogg Food is a classic.
Light years to me is Infamous to Infamy

Its all good, opinion is opinion, we're all in here discussing dope shyt so there arent any L's at all. I'd rather talk about this type of stuff instead of bullshyt like Meek, Drake and etc.

I only have an issue with myself coming off as a hater/disliking Infamous in defense of other albums. Im not looking to get to that point. Most records in my 90's collection (infamouse and dogg food) I picked up day of release.

I walked 4 miles roundtrip to get dog food and on top of the world because a breh didnt have a car at the time:mjlol:.

To me this is all information trading of beliefs :manny:. I cant let albums get disrespected if i sense that though

it’s all good breh, The way you feel about Dogg Food I feel about Tha Streetz Is A Mutha. It’s one of my favorite albums. Unpopular opinion but I like it better than 2001 and I bought both when they came out on the same day

Quote the whole post though.
It’s not close at all really. The Infamous is the GOAT album. Dogg Food is probably top 50. Could be as high as top 30.
Not close doesn’t equal light years.
A top 50 all time album is a classic.
They are on different levels, but this isn’t a light years situation.

its the truth, whether you like it or not.

that dr dre 2001/eminem/etc stuff was more crossover/TRL type, as opposed to what really was going on in the streets/clubs/parties in that era. i know that statement is gonna fall on death ears with coli hermits, but whatever. 2001 sold more but it was NOT the chronic.

they had some cuts tho like "next episode".

GRODT was years later, and as huge as that album was, it was never THE popular sound. it was more about 50 cent and the g-unit movement.

the most popular sounds back then were soul samples and crunk music.

scott storch's run of hits moreso reflects what he prolly picked up from timbaland as opposed to dr dre and the others that storch came up under.

You are really disregarding the westcoast.
Dre 2001 isn’t TRL that’s a groundbreaking album.

scott stitch couldn’t even spell hit until dr Dre gave him the formula for what it takes to create one in those chronic 2001 sessions.

LITERALLY EVERYONE IN THE STREETS, CLUBS, PARTIES, KICKBACKS, U NAME IT WAS BUMPIN 2001 WHEN IT DROPPED
UR WORSE HERE THAN U ARE IN THE COLISEUM BRO

yea in california, and thats mainly because the west coast was desperate at the time.

that chit wasnt rockin like that in the east and the south

it wasnt groundbreaking. it was just aiird.

not disregarding the west.
i dont see how you came to that conclusion, seeing how i said that "it wasnt the chronic".

So u literally just turned around and said damn near the same shyt I said but in favor of Dogg Food but u sitting here acting like u really broke shyt down while I didn’t say anything? Lol. U Coli nikkas on some other shyt.
im addressing your remark on reasons why I prefer Dogg food, and i breifly gave you them. I dont have much time to be giving a heavy, detailed analysis and this convo is not about me having to go in depth on why i prefer dogg food

But I can later in the near future when I get the time.

and what I said and what you said is not completely the same thing. you just vaguely said with not even a slightly bit of a reasoning on why it was more "consistent"

the creative falls into what I was also saying on how yall are basing this all off some Measure of "what album was more important that brought a new sound" .

My point is what you said still falls in line with what i was saying.

Which goes back to what I initially fukkin said, that most of that talk was just yall stating it was better on some "just because" logic as if its objective fact, and using the logic of how it was more "important" because of the sound. To form that its better than Dogg Food

Like i said you did a bit more than the other nikkas so you prolly dont count but the others were on some shyt.

And lets not forget the context on why i keep bringing this up. As it relates to that East coast bias thread.

You and the dumbass nikkas dapping you are purposely playing dumb and obtuse on this shyt.

Some of the most out of touch posting I've ever seen. I can tell you as a Southerner, 2001 was a must have. That album was huge. Ground breaking album that definitely upped the ante on Hip Hop production and engineering.

I don’t get the sense that you’re talking down on Infamous in this thread. In fact i get the sense you think it’s a classic. So why wouldn’t you play it in the car? That makes no sense to me. Make it make sense.
