Dollar Stores in America have become the fastest growing food chains. One woman showed what you can buy on a 70$ budget. Is this sustainable?

you can buy regular shyt at whole foods dumbass, they sell the same brands as any other grocery store
I was just at the Food 4 Less on Slauson in LA and Green Seedless Grapes were 2.49 a pound. They are 2.77 a pound at Whole Foods.

LOL, I'm not buying groceries at any Dollar store. Some chips or soda at the most. It's pathetic that people have to be reduced to dollar stores for the main source of groceries due to food deserts and/or people's dollars doesn't go as far as it did 20 years ago.

The internet is everywhere, become an ingredients household. all it takes is a yearly investment in some staple pantry items(flour, starches, various dry seasonings, fermented stuff that holds long times like soy sauce/fish sauce/Worcestershire, etc)
From there all it takes is the cheapest shyt you see, a little imagination and some culinary know how, especially if you have under 3 kids or its just you and a partner

I buy a whole lot of dried cherries. Yes, they are expensive compared to other dried fruits.
They really aren’t and I have a toddler that survives primarily off strawberries and blueberries. 2 medium containers of strawberries is like 2 for 5 dollars. Blueberries like 3 dollars. Rest of his food is just whatever we eat. I think a lot of people are hilariously bad with money and stupid

When $15 an hour is considered a competitive wage yes it is sustainable.
It was great to read this thread but in all honesty this white ho just doesn’t know how to shop and dollar stores shouldn’t exist.
I went on Amazon Fresh and Amazon/Whole Foods 365 brand and with a $70 dollar budget (70.82 to be specific) and mimicked 90 percent of her cart
I even was able to give her organic asparagus, organic oat milk, no salt added diced tomatoes, organic blueberries and a real rib eye steak. Enjoy the summer
