That’s false. DR help create the current situation in Haiti. DR assisted in the 2004 Coup by helping the “rebels”(former Haitian military CIA trained officers) who ousted the president in 2004 … which help put in Haiti in the current situation (put them under the US proxy UN occupation)

I salute Jamaica. Cuba. Venezuela. South Africa for trying to help during that time though

The current state existed since 1805. That’s what you’re not understanding.

They should proudly live in America. What's wrong with that especially since America and France is dominating Haiti

They can do as they please. Point is, it’s not Dominicans problems. It’s also not Chilean, Bahamanian, Mexican, Brazilian and where ever else a significant portion have developed refuge

two CNN videos in the last day.

something brewing...

Im glad the international media is beginning to report on the tragedy that is happening in Haiti.

The violence happening in Haiti is no different from what Somalia is going through and what Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nigeria went through in the 90s. I don't know why this isn't considered a literal civil war. These armed groups aren't just "street gangs", they are organized and heavily armed militias. The leader's of these groups aren't your ordinary street thugs.

They didn’t sit back but help gut Haiti with the US(the Core Group) in 2004 but now they complaining about Haitian immigrates in the DR
Nothing but conspiracy theories. DR has always been a bystanding witness to all the craziness that happens in Haiti. But some haitians (especially those pertaining to the elite class) love to beef with dominicans inventing stupid conspiracy theories.

When the president of Haiti was murdered, they first said the killers were dominican, turned out they were colombian. Then they said that the murder was planned in DR and later said that the murderers were assisted by the DR because they arrived in DR first and then crossed the border.

Last thing i read was that there are "many dominicans" in haitian gangs killing and kidnapping, which is completely false. Probably many of the members of these gangs are haitians that lived for some period of time in DR, but there's no way there's actual dominicans doing the killings and kidnappings in Haiti.

But you know what there are plenty of?? dominican victims of the violence in Haiti.

That bus the appears shot up in the first video of CNN, is a dominican bus from a company called "Caribe Tours".

I find that hard to believe. Even the Canadian government helped kidnap Aristide.

You mean to say the govt of DR provides no assistance to US schemes in Haiti?

How about the permanent ban bet If I’m lying about this “conspiracy theories” of 2004 coup (which NYT just recently reported) and DR help the “rebels” (coup plotters) escape when the Haitian president ask DR to extradite them back to Haiti?DR respond back and said we don’t have extradition with Haiti to let the leftover rebels who didn’t die from gunfire escape prosecution from Haiti by hiding in DR and later fly out

The only conspiracy theories is the DR ones that believe Haitians want to take over Haiti

You’ve read constitution of 1805. The one Haitian document free of foreign influence. It gave you the blueprint to your identity.

So I ask you and @Henri Christophe

Are you a good soldier? :sas1:

Did he mean showing up on flag day?

I don’t think so.

When are you going to honor your founding fathers? Haiti needs it now more than ever

@Nkrumah Was Right

Are you ready to be a good soldier?

Honor you ancestors. And earn your name.
Haiti is waiting for you :shaq:

9. No person is worth of being a Haitian who is not a good father, good son, a good husband, and especially a good soldier.

I’m not Haitian but Haitians are related to my peoples. Why the weird gloating?

At the end of the day, there’s a reason why black people on this forum are suspicious of Dominicans and hold Haiti in high regard.

I ask you - since you claim the first Dominicans to be African slaves - are you an Afro-descendant?

The only conspiracy theories is the DR ones that believe Haitians want take over Haiti

why would Haitians wanna take over DR anyway?

Haiti is the country with all the legendary monuments and artifacts and the epic history.

DR has nothing but whores for white men to fukk.

Every nation needs a storyline.... The dominicans chose Haitians as the enemy in their storyline..... but the Dominicans are irrelevant in the Haitian storyline

We dont even think about them... we have bigger enemies to worry about

Breh I’m not gloating. I’m pointing out what is amiss in these discussions and it starts there; Haitian identity. Outside influences just exasperated what was already a weak nationality.

Black ppl(I’m African American) hold high regard for Haitian history for the same reason you do, you don’t fully understand it :mjlol: . No disrespect but the use of the word Dominican and the identity was explained. That’s something you didn’t know because it’s not something Haitians in the diaspora are going to bring up. Again this is about identity and ideological differences.

Some Haitians in this thread have spoke truth to power and most just languish in core group babble.

I’m neither Dominican or Haitian and really had little interest until I moved here. I love history and this place is where it began in the New World. I love real history. Not history to satisfy my ego or an identity crisis. Sorry a lot of what is popular in our spaces is just exactly that. I get the reasoning but it looks stupid when the facts are just facts.
