That's an angle I didn't even consider. "Duppy" lost Drake that battle. So there's really no reason to use that beat, unless he was trying to redeem Canada. And even then, dude rapped like Drake on it....so I'm confused.

Fred.
He is trying to redeem Canada with easy bait and a team of writers/dirt gatherers. How do we know but these insulated ass industry nikkas who know each other, don't? Caring about whether bars are facts or not.
He's been to NY long enough to know how STUPIDLY ARROGANT those nikkas are.
"Yo I got this"
:smugfavre:
24/7
and he picked a young opportunist who was FRAMED as a bar spitter. NY nikkas love FRAMING and FINESSE.
"I'm gonna swag my way through, too fly, too gutter"
:queen::mjgrin:

Like I said before, it's a bad approach.

Finally listened to all these.

Don Q sounds like every generic mixtape rapper from NY and Tory Lanez sounds like a diet Drake. I mean....he even rapped over his beat, which was shameless. I wouldn't say either side definitively won....but it's crazy to me that people don't even give a fukk Tory Lanez is doing his best Drake impersonation. Like, that's not even a factor? :dahell:

Fred.

Saying Tory bit Drake is some:

shyt.

Both them nikkas on the same tip when it comes to biting other rappers’ flows, lyrics, etc.

Nevertheless, I tend to judge “beefs” on several factors -- not just bars and lyricism. But actual entertainment.

No matter how obnoxious nikkas think he is (and fam is obnoxious), Tory is entertaining. Don is not.

Simple as that. :yeshrug:

Yeah victory was a dope beat, but I wouldn’t have picked burn. He need to pick Exodus 23:1 :banderas:
That woulda been tough.

I have no idea what son was thinking.
I guess he like spittin off them old shyts but come the fukk on.
The nikka just came at you wit Duppy and you follow up wit some 15+ year old shyt that most of Tory's fan base never heard of knowing this social media climate we in.

nikkas in here are really mad that some of us don’t like Don’s response. :stopitslime:

Homie played his cards all wrong. If you gon’ come out the gates then you better come SWINGING.

Don came at him on some passive aggressive “I fukk with you, you a talented nikka, let’s work together” shyt instead of knocking Tory’s head off like he was supposed to.

Unless you’re a strategic rapper like say Push for instance, that whole “love tap”/bait shyt ain’t gon get it done.

Sorry. :yeshrug:

Facts lol

These part time rappers/part time singers are killing these full-time rappers :heh:
like who?
You seem to be floating off fukkery energy.
These nikkas are not singing in churches, nor are they battling on stage.
They are entertainers with writing teams/troll armies/information gatherers going up against mid tier rappers with no resources.

Facts lmao. He must have been listening to the Rocafella hot 97 freestyles recently to pick burn :pachaha:

You gotta pick some modern fire so these young nikkas will even wanna listen to it more than once. I’m an 80’s baby, listened to the first one a couple times because, Victory. But the second one only once. I forgot who on the Roc said it when they was on Hot 97, but I don’t want no happy beats lol.

tory better with the music side

& the "vibe" is what folks go for now

nobody cares about who delivers the message or if it's true

just how it sounds

lanez will get out barred by don but will appeal more to the sheeple

& once you get the masses repeating who won most finna just run with it

don't matter how hard the diss is if i question your background & foundation all the tough talk gets muted

cats who should keep it hip-hop rappity.rap talking like they grew up in the field is not it

too many folks okaying fabricated characters

& that's cool entertainment wise but then frauds wanna get aggressive tryna beef but not built for or used to antagonist aggressive situations for real
