That dry NYC mixtape delivery will not translate well outside of NY...and I liked the bars...I'm just not an NYcentric nikka and I know all about that "real life netcee" style that both JR and Don Q use.
That shyt was born from chatroom nikkas who listened to the lox and watched smack dvd back in the day.
Y'all remember when EVERYBODY from Harlem had that 3-bar Posta Boy style...and if the 3 syllables didn't match, they would force them to.
That being said, Tory doesn't have bars like that...but calling having rap patterns "using Eminem" tricks when nikkas been doing crazy flows, is kinda weak. You can't downplay somebody's strongpoint because you don't have the mental elasticity to do the same.
It's like comparing Royce and Redman to Jadakiss/Banks/Fab/Cassidy.
The latter group of nikkas' style is contained WITHIN the Royce and Redman level of rap. It's not different, it's just a lower level of having "bars".
Tory camouflages an EVEN LOWER level of having bars with the flow style of somebody like Royce...but that's not exactly wack to me...and I don't think breh writes all of his shyt anyway.

Them nikkas used to LOSE fam and I watched battles 24/7 and I love that Philly shyt. This a battle nikka I wanna hear what u SAYING. Not just HOW u say it. Tory says a whole lotta nothin. That’s what we tryna say. “The Eminem tricks” shyt is what Eminem has been criticized for since he came back on the scene tryna mask his lack of really anything to say with flows and aggresive rapping fast. He wasnt always like that. Which is why he was more respected as an emcee. I have no problem with nikkas using flow switches n voices or whatever the fukk the wanna use if the bars is fire. U cant bring up Royce and Redman because Redman is nasty on the mic LYRICALLY as well as flow. So is Royce. So yes. Redman is better than Banks/Cassidy/Fab/Kiss. But that’s because of what he brings to the table as a whole package as an emcee, lyricist, artist. Etc etc. Plus his rap catalog is better than all of them nikkas.
