damn.. now that was a fukking game. Hearing those remixed tracks from DK history was amazing. They put their foot in this shyt. Will definitely grab that up for the Switch 2 OLED in 3 years.
Once he started turning into zebras and emus and shyt I was sold. Now what would make it GOTY material is if Mario showed up and it tied into the first Donkey Kong. But you know Nintendo not about that life.
Overall, pretty great direct. Whoever they got on the Odyssey team they need to do whatever they can to keep them together. We need a Star Fox or a Yoshi's Island from them ASAP rocky.

Kind of wished this were the launch game.
Nothing against Mario Kart, It is a hella fun game. It just doesn't push the needle as a launch game. Like looking at Nintendo's previous launch games.

I feel like without the name Mario, Nintendo felt it wouldn't do as well. Which I think might be a bit silly on their part IMO. Especially given that DK was a part of the Mario movie.

I love seeing the synergy between Nintendo titles. You can see some elements from Mario Odyssey, recent Zeldas, even the flashy dynamic UI and presentation reminds of what they went for with RingFit
