That doesn't apply to African Americans though so I don't understand this post. That's Latin American socialization not Anglo American practices.

so u saying the english, a whiter ppl than spaniards are less likely to practice colorism?:francis:

if that’s true, which it may be, let’s think about why. spain borders africa so the one drop rule is out the window. if they used it, their actual country wouldn’t even pass for white. so their main focus would be colorism while the english can focus on pure racism. prolly why u got white hispanic and black hispanic but no white english and black english.

since hispanic countries are more aggressive with colorism, it’s more documented.

ppl who are racist and privileged would never and in many cases cannot admit it. like any other mental illness, it would take a professional to diagnose. but who’s gonna build an institution meant to diagnose racism? what are the symptoms of it? more for me and less for you? how can u convince someone that that’s a sickness? that’s called capitalism. and further more, how u gonna just outlaw the racism? can u outlaw bi polar disorder. roseanne claimed the drugs they gave her made her racist. everyone laughed.

but why do they give u drugs? for your anxiety. ppl have really bad anxiety and it’s bothering you for no reason, so take these drugs and get rid of it.

but are cacs really feeling this anxiety for no reason? what is it trying to tell them? why are they drowning it out?

that’s why i refrain from even talkin to cacs or black ppl with cac syndrome. u can go to a professional and prove to someone that their behavior constitutes bi polar disorder. u can’t do that with racism.

racism is the bigger “issue” in america, so colorism takes a backseat and goes undocumented.

but look up plessy v ferguson. on the surface, it’s about racial segregation. but if u do a little further reading, you’ll see what it’s really about. b*stards looking for acknowledgement in the form of privilege.

quicksand is a great novel about passing.

spain, portugal, and france were under the rule of moors for 700 yrs. what if they just said, fukk it, we now identify as the specific moors who rule us instead of claiming their place back into the sphere of western europe as soon as they exiled the moors?

i’d tell u wat they’d be. they’d be just like the descendants of slaves who identify with the culture of their oppressors more than their blood family scattered throughout the new world.

if you identify more with the politics of my oppressor more than the somehow still uniform culture of descendants of slaves scattered throughout the new world, than respectfully, i have to identify you as my enemy.

i have more in common with a nikka from brazil than i do with the cac next door to me or the nikka who feels his culture is more kin to the cac next door.

many cacs don’t think about racism every day, and why should they? life is hard and it’s even harder when u feel u have to vouch for other ppls problems. that’s why ppl are not convince by america’s “world police” rep.

same goes for many light skins. no reason to think about your privilege when u have other problems. who is anybody else to say they have it worse than u?

but i know for a fact i wouldn’t want to trade places with ppl who have to live a certain life.

i don’t compare myself to ppl with physical dissabilities, cause it’s not the same. being black is the best thing ever.

so i understand why ppl don’t want to acknowledge their privilege.

but you have to wonder why no nikkas run to white supremacy forums to spread their doctrines and ideas, but cacs and lightskins rush over to thecoli to tell us that our perception of the world is flawed because we don’t see things their way.

How the fukk did this thread turn into a debate about colorism :dahell:

if you don’t think colorism is a thing, your confusion is understandable.

No I never said that, that what you projected.

It's hard to have a discussion with you if you keep falsely assuming stuff and manipulating the conversation

All I did was ask you to clarify what you meant and how your usage of a Latin American word doesn't neatly fit into the racial dynamics of America.

Light skin black people aren't a different race in America so I don't understand what your talking about.

Light skin black people are genetically black and seems like you trying compare them to white Latin Americans or French of some sort.

For example, Angela Rye is black and Fat Joe is not.

If you feel like light skin black people are oppressing you then that's ok but at least come with facts and historical accuracy to state your claims.

Lo key this shows how black women don't face the same type of job discrimination
:sas1:

Trump doesn't have a problem with black women specifically. He has a problem with all black people.

It only appears that he targets black women journalist because the black male reporters don't get those white house correspondent jobs.

my nikka, u just didn’t read what i posted and im not giving u bullet points :mjlol:

u want facts? less than 5 percent of slaves was sent to the u.s. an overwhelming majority of them was sent to latin america. blanqueamiento was implemented to obscure that fact. that’s why both u and fat joe will tell u he not black while having the most slave blood in any givin room.

it’s just easier for him to pass for white in his colonizer’s country than yours for obvious geographical reasons.

i had to explain that again cause u clearly didn’t read my post, so i don’t kno why u even felt the need to respond. you’d rather ignore whole ass facts than just disengage. that’s some passionate laziness. :francis:

He was clearly trying to be slick by trying to mock Black lingo. Come on son :stopitslime:

Black lingo? I like angela but she might fukk herself up talking like this. You can't talk black, you can't act black, you can't slang black. You either are black or you aren't.

Few things in this word make me cringe harder than "talk black", "act black", etc. that same shyt she was using to roast the dude on air is the same shyt that sets us back in society.

Way better ways to say things, and in her position she knows better

Imagine someone like Tariq in the press room, asking questions of Trump. :mjlol:
