quick poli-sci 101:

the smallest state is rhode island with a population of 1 million (for the entire state!)

the largest state is California with 38 million

without the electoral college, these huge states with astronomical populations (texas, NY) would be determining our presidents every year

this is just a FACTUAL statement, has nothing to do with political beliefs
this isn't factual at all. hillary got millions of votes in texas. trump got millions of votes in california. how the fukk would big states determine the elections when people go out and vote for both candidates?

Again, as with most things in life political or not - this institution and it’s merits is up for debate, what’s NOT up for debate is that the electoral college was set out to help level out smaller and bigger states voting power in elections:

If you’re arguing that’s not true and this is just an argument I created for this discussion on the coli for August 12 2018, please provide evidence

because there's no evidence that "california and new york and texas would decide the election". no state votes uniformly so that doesn't make sense

Youre ignoring the volume of votes though

For example in California 2016, Hillary got 8.7 million votes.

In Rhode Island she got 252,525

If we tallied up votes this way what would be the incentive to have Rhode Island even participate in the process? Why even campaign up there?

Black People that don't vote are c00ns

take into the account people literally lost their lives for the right to vote
also take into account the money spent on suppressing the black vote

Shut the fukk up
None of these politicians promise shyt for us, meanwhile other groups like gays; Latinos, women, etc get tangible benefits. Unless a candidate(local, regional, or president) promises to do something tangible for blacks, they can get the fukk on :camby:

because they have an opinion on who should be the president, trump or hillary :heh:

why the fukk would it matter what state you were from? 150 million people would vote and whoever wins, wins

I said that she won the popular vote to show that it’s the electoral college that controls things and not just the voters as this thread implies. That’s why I said to vote local. If you read my post and used your brain you would of seen that.

You wrongly assumed that I didn’t know what the electoral college is about and tried to school me on shyt that I already know because you are stupid.

Do me a favor and turn on your brain before you try to correct me. :gucci:

You really don't understand numbers at all bro.

California's worth 55 points towards the electoral college and Hilary won with 61% of the vote total.

Under the current system Hilary Clinton achieved 20% of the points necessary to win the Presidency. If it were a gen pop vote, she'd only have 8.7/voting total of the points necessary based on California . Why campaign in Rhode Island under the current system??? Under the current system, it's more incentive to campaign in California and try to secure that, if anything (assuming the system isn't rigged and is a just one). Under a gen pop system that Cali vote drops down to Hillary only winning 6% of the determining power vs 20% lol.

Blacks are lucky that our descendants who fought in the civil war weren't this stupid.
