because they have an opinion on who should be the president, trump or hillary :heh:

why the fukk would it matter what state you were from? 150 million people would vote and whoever wins, wins

This still doesn’t make sense...Rhode Island’s little 300k votes would only matter in an extremely close election - I don’t think there’s ever been a presidential election that close.

Now if you’re talking about doing away with red and blue states altogether and having a raw popular vote that’s different

But again I’m simply telling how things are, not if it’s right, wrong, fair, could be better...sheesh

You really don't understand numbers at all bro.

California's worth 55 points towards the electoral college and Hilary won with 61% of the vote total.

Under the current system Hilary Clinton achieved 20% of the points necessary to win the Presidency. If it were a gen pop vote, she'd only have 8.7/voting total of the points necessary based on California . Why campaign in Rhode Island under the current system??? Under the current system, it's more incentive to campaign in California and try to secure that, if anything (assuming the system isn't rigged and is a just one). Under a gen pop system that Cali vote drops down to Hillary only winning 6% of the determining power vs 20% lol.

Not one iota of what you typed out has anything to do with anything I said but carry on.

You keep insisting the electoral college is doing something positive for states like Rhode Island in comparison to states like Cali and I'm showing you how states like Cali's sway is actually being enhanced by it rather than what you're saying by just showing you the numbers but whatever, you vote so I don't expect shyt to quite sync in. When you unify the populations voting power into one decision you empower the states with bigger populations, when it's a free for all that power is dispersed and then it becomes important to get every vote you can :yeshrug:

Blacks are lucky that our descendants who fought in the civil war weren't this stupid.

"Hey those northern crackers are racist just like the crackers in the south. We just need to sit this out."

Compare the fight over slavery (and that might even be a stretch but let’s roll with it) to choosing one rich cac who doesn’t care about black people over another rich cac who doesn’t care about black people brehs

Let’s try this then - in a system that determines a president on a state by state basis, how would YOU ensure a state that only turns in about 350k votes every presidential elections votes make a difference WITHOUT the electoral college?

Floor is yours.

Anyway the EC's purpose is to undercut the voting population and leave the decision of the President up to the greater powers that be. It's so complicated to understand because that's how smoke screens generally work, you over-complicate the most simple issues to stupify the average person. You really have no say in who's gonna be President, it's all smoke and mirrors. shyt all you gotta do is sit down, read the justification for the EC and crunch the numbers yourself and see if what the numbers say adds up to the letters these cacs are using to describe it. It don't, it's all smoke. :yeshrug:

The crackers who support trump are the same crackers who fought for the south in the civil war. Make America great again is a direct wink and nod to those crackers. If they're successful in suring up power in the government over the course of the next few years in these congressional and presidential elections, they could very well attempt to re-institute slavery.

Be too stupid to understand the slippery slope that this country is on, idiots.

Edit- So what was the real reason for the civil war since "it might be a stretch" to say that it was over slavery? That's a direct white supremacist talking point.

When you disengage the electoral college all you gotta do is crunch the numbers yourself to find out these states are making more of a difference just by way of there not being an aggregate consensus. Every individuals vote becomes more important because now you're talking individual to individual basis as opposed to Rhode Island's aggregate vs California's aggregate and it becomes more important to reach the people of Rhode Island. As the system is currently, you only go to Rhode Island if it's convenient to you to do so because even with an EC Rhode Island's vote doesn't matter. This election was decided by Trump winning Florida and Pennsylvania, two states with millions of people. The same way a gen pop vote works.

American politics has been top notch entertainment for the past for years. Like a great boxing match were one fighter is dominating, then all of a sudden gets hit with a haymaker that completely changes the momentum of the fight.

When Obama was in office, it looked like Republicans were finished for the next 20 years. Then Trump and Bernie come along and completely shift the dynamics. Now the Democrats are scrambling and finger pointing. :wow:

I'm explaining to you numerically how the electoral college makes these states even less impactful in the decision making process then a gen pop vote but go ahead and waste your time voting for president in the next election because you don't understand numbers :russell:

I asked you to devise a system that would ensure a state that turns out 300K total votes as oppose to a state that turns out 12 million had equal footing

your response had nothing to do with numbers, you hit me with some philosophical emotional shyt about talking individual to individual :pachaha:

But Pride's gonna be the death of you and you and me"
I don't like when people post stats like that because it put's the blame on black people.

Very hurtful thing you posted. It's unjust and wrongfully misleading.

And don’t run and hide behind that “you’re a lost cause!! You’re too stupid!! I don’t wanna waste my time!” Nonsense. That’s what dudes who have no real argument but wanna save face say :umad:

Floor is yours sir. :coffee:
I'll give you a proper response when I get home, not typing all this over mobile shots a chore and my phone been lagging on here :francis: (feel free to quote me so I remember)

This is not the time to be hurt or offended by statistics :stopitslime:miss me with that weak shyt :camby: we're strong enough to handle some basic stats:hhh:

We all know Trump got a fukk ton of votes thanks to racist and ignorant cacs that are the major problem, that doesn't change the fact that we didn't take advantage of things we can control and need to change it up next time so they don't win again
