Though a lot of Duke players don't pan out in the NBA, Jason Williams would have been a star and would have led the Bulls out of the doldrums even sooner. With that jumper and that dribble the sky was the limit for him. He struggled his rookie season, but he still had some spectacular moments. I remember him dropping a monster triple double on someone that just showed what was soon to come. He definitely would have fit in even better in this era of shoot first point guards.
That triple double was on a prime Jason Kidd :ohlawd:

Dude would have been a star.. with that J and his handle, speed. It was right when the game was opening up more for guards too.

Good read.

Didn't know he wasn't wearing a helmet.:smh:

fukk dude. :manny: Riding a bike when he wasn't supposed to. #2 pick down the drain.

Dude asked to get put on the IR because he was struggling.

There was an ESPN reality game show type shyt, kinda like the Amazing Race that started after the accident, but episodes were recorded before it.

He was on one of the episodes, he was one of the guys friends or something like that, but he's on the bike and before he leaves he says something like, "Yeah, I'm really not supposed to be on this bike:ld:" before riding off.

I also remember the rumor about us trading the #7 and either Jamal or Jay to Denver for the #3 .

i knew charissa thompson had the fever.

i guess her parents intended for her to live this life. what kind of white girl name is charissa thompson?

Her name is pronounced Carissa to white dudes, and Sharissa to the brothas :lolbron:

I'm glad JWill has a gig at ESPN though. He could be broke somewhere.

Jason williams was a dope ass college player.I remember the bulls had him and crawford in the backcourt at the end of the 03 season

Then son had to be defiant and ride a motorcycle they had footage of this idiot saying some shyt about he isnt supposed to be riding the bike a week or 2 before he crashed he lucky the bulls bought him out and paid him instead of voiding his contract

I'm about to read this

Great read, I thought I was reading a good book.

I never really knew the details of the story. I wanted to see a pic of his leg, now. That uneven leg thing reminds me of T-Mac--who has a leg longer than the other.

Imagine the taunts, the ridicule, the built-in comeback — “Go buy another motorcycle, Williams.” Imagine walking through an airport — “Way to screw your life up, Williams.” Imagine working for ESPN, analyzing games — “Should have stuck to motorcycles, Williams.”

We're entirely too tough on athletes.

He severed an artery.

:weirdo:

“I didn’t know how to handle it at first,” Williams said. “I didn’t know how to be around it. Guys were on the bench, trying to kick it to girls in the stands, having ball boys run over. I mean, some guys were high.”

Asked to clarify, Williams said: “There were guys smoking weed before games. Guys asking in the middle of the game, ‘Do you smell popcorn?’ ”

He noticed the nervous laughter around the kitchen table. “You think I’m playing,” Williams said. “Can you imagine! Guys are gambling. They’re playing dice in the back of the plane for money. Like, we just lost by 30 tonight! And we’ve got a game tomorrow! It bugged me out.”

Reminds me of that Kanye West skit . Funny, cuz; I'm a square, too.

Althea stepped into the intensive care unit and slapped her son’s head.

She yelled, “Boy, didn’t I tell you not to ride that bike?”

Momma, NO!

Would someone explain the whole knee-during-the-rain-pain thing?
it happens to people with bad knees/joints.

its about the fluid in the joints or changing when the barometric pressure in the air dips (which lead to rain). Usually older people with arthritis have those issues. Williams is 32 year old.

It's crazy how amalgamated the human body is. And dude (and people with those type of injuries) went through a traumatic event. Dude leg is shorter :weirdo:.

yeah, our bodies are fascinating. I really wish I took a liking to biology more in HS because the older I get, the more interested I get in these things.
