One of my favorite books last year I read was this book by this dude named Supreme Understanding.

It's a fun easy read that talks about alot of black history from the indian dalits and Moors to present day stuff.

He even has a Spanish one called
La Brega:Como Sobrevir en el barrio.

You never hear about people like General Takahashi from Japan who showed up to the states and began meeting with the NOI leaders talking about how Japan was commited to the black man's struggle in America. Eventually dude was snatched up by the gov't I heard.

We never learn about things like the Non Aligned Movement which currently has 120 members that's against imperialism, racism, colonialism and neo-colonialism.

how to hustle and win i've seen a few times .. gonna pick it up and check it ..

My point is that in America, blacks are taught how great a leader Touissant was, and how he freed his people, but were never taught the ugly side of the French revolution, or most revolutions in general.

I don't know where you went to school, but we didn't learn shyt about the Haitian revolution.

Anybody else wanna read up on some rarely talked about slave revolts then you need to look up Gaspar Yanga. He lead slave rebellions in Mexico and took his followers up into the mountains where they established a maroon community. They used to be on some Somali pirate shyt ambushing Spanish caravans that were delivering food and what not. The Spaniards finally had enough and sent a militia up there but Yanga and his goonies bodied em all :pachaha: After they saw he wasn't nothing to mess with they asked for peace, Yanga laid out an 11 point program by which the Spanish had to abide by (Reminds you of the Panthers 10 point plan dont it :leon:). The town, which was named after Yanga, was the first free town in the Americas.

:salute:

I saw a film on this freshman year in college but can't remember the name ...was shocked to hear about all of this then. :smh: They don't teach American kids anything. I could not believe that the other students never heard of Emmet Till, this I was expecting, but not knowing who Emmet Till is? :damn:

Well back to my original point. The revolution was over and the whites were
Leaving the country. Haiti basically already won and all was left was the few thousand white that were unable to leave the country. the oppression was over, all they had to do was say ALL GET THE fukk OUT or STAY BUT live under our rules. instead the hero Dessalines wanted his revenge and that was to kill every last one of those whites at the time they couldn't put up a fight. Men women children massacred for nothing. Kind of like when the concentration camp were told to kill all Jews when the Americans were approaching. Shooting fish in a barrel. How you expect to lead a new nation when you resort to the same violence that the previous leaders forced on you.

Toussaint Louverture = Hero
Adolf Dessalines = scum bag murderer

the oppression was over, all they had to do was say ALL GET THE fukk OUT or STAY BUT live under our rules

As long as the White Oppressors were alive there was no guarantee that oppression was over

Men women children massacred for nothing.

An eye for an eye. I could just as well turn it around say "BLACK men, women, and children enslaved, raped, tortured, and massacred for nothing because that is what the white oppressors had been doing, this is an example of reaping what you sow. As said before every single one of those Whites were benefiting from Black agony and suffering before the revolution. It is is only right that agony, suffering, and death be brought unto them. This justice.

Kind of like when the concentration camp were told to kill all Jews when the Americans were approaching

Again, horrible logic. The Jews were the oppressed from the BEGINNING. They weren't the ones who oppressed and subjugated the Germans to mass extermination and then were defeated. They were being killed from the beginning. The whites who were the oppressors were reaping the commumpence of their tyranny.

Off topic, but you'd never guess who was the forefather of the #hardonhoes movement.

Shaka Zulu said:
He imposed hard rules upon himself and lived up to them. He was practically abstinent sexually and never took a wife. He wanted no children, and once, when one of his few concubines presented a son to him saying it was his, he killed the child with one blow of his fist and sent the mother to her death

:whoo: ikillbabymoms must be his great great great great grandson.

quick fact:
There are no police in Accompong, a little town in jamaica. In the last 250 years since they signed a peace treaty with the british to have their own semi-sovereignty over the area, there have been no crimes except one which was a robbery done by an outsider. No taxes there either.

Crazy.

:Uswagless: hate begets hate nikka, u seem 2 lean more heavily on the whites gettin slaughtered as opposed 2 the oppression and savagery the haitians/africans endured on that island 4 decades by whitey, i can see trujillio's racist manifesto drippin from ur font. ur really sittin hear tryna vilify a man who's native ppl have been raped socially, spiritually, economically, and physically by these off brand cacs................and as soon as the shoe is on the other foot u want him 2 get his ghandi on?? dessalines wasn't perfect son, but he was the product of an evil time, was it wrong 2 kill women n children who couldnt defend themselves, sure, but in the context of how it played out, i cant fault him. as i said b4, hate breeds hate. b4 u start feelin sorry 4 them women n kids who died under dessalines orders, ask how many black women n children were murdered or had their lives destroyed by colonialism, cuz the numbers damn sure aint in our favor, i consider them white women n kids casualties of war................ and could u guess who propagated that war???

fukking teachers man :snoop:

They had us reading the same damn Paul Reverre story every year,

This is the most interesting shyt I've read in years.

I remember Donald Glover trying to sell a Hatian Revolution movie but...

 :ld:

:dead:
Stuff like this is why the American education system keeps losing.

I don't know where you went to school, but we didn't learn shyt about the Haitian revolution.

I believe they had a few passing references in HS World History, but not as their own subject, they were just a part of the story of Napoleon.

I don't feel sorry for what other men do. Just don't think he was a hero. He set Haiti back with what he and till this day that country hasn't recovered. Military control is King in Haiti. At the end if the day the whole thing was a failure.

Tried to do the same to my country and we weren't having that. Dominicans aren't p*ssy ass France.
