It's just the culture in some areas. Other areas are black middle class. But MI culture in general, regardless of race, is gun heavy, pro gun, pro defense. So that translates to the hood. We don't have a gang problem like la or chicago. We don't have a drug problem more so than other areas. The problem here is just about anyone will bust shots, even girls We have some of the wealthiest counties in the nation right next to some of the poorest... so people have the mentality of trying to get theirs and doing whatever to get it. ntm, we invented ignorant shyt like making it rain, stuntin n shyt.... since the 70's we had the pimp culture and that shyt was violent... plus there was so many BMF type of nikkas when I was a kid... seeing a 17 year old pushing a 100k car, sorta fcks w u when ur in poverty.. so at first ur not trying to hear about supporting some black gas station.

Different leaders are good for different areas. Claud Anderson, and most leaders aren't cut out for making real change in Detroit... and most Detroit elected officials don't have a clue. But someone who is cut out for it could take Claud Andersons blackeconomic teachings and bring it to Detroit. Detroit is the focal point for black people in America - with every issue, and all the history of the nation in one place, Also was the first black middle class that was built after Rosewood and okc and all those places were destroyed.

but I'm not sure how we can be successful as black people if we can't change places like flint and detroit. Economic knowledge wise C. Anderson is good. But I doubt Malcolm x would have been ran out the city.

Once they make it to the league, it's a little to late IMO. By then, you can't tell them dudes shyt. He's young, rich, and famous. He's not gonna be thinking about building a community at the age of 20. He's gonna be trying to pop bottles, fukk bytches, and all the other shyt all of us would have been doing if we were young, rich, and famous.

you have a point, but I'm just being optimistic & pragmatic about it. I see it. Just from my brief study of history...I can't rule it out. The slaves of yesteryear would not believe we are at the point we are at now. That's how you have to gauge things. Its a long shot..but so was living in America and not being a slave back then as well. It can happen breh. A seed is a powerful thing.

We can never have another Malcolm because in 2013 even the most conscious amongst us despise and clown militancy. Our black elite are scared of militancy. But lol, i shot my ar at my other house (not the property i actually live in) the other day and there was no police called, no reaction from the neighbors, no anything. That shyt was eyeopening for me. loud ass shots for like 15 minutes. That lets me know that we need someone who isn't scared of our desensitization. .

I'm not saying not doing what you're recommending. I'm just saying expand on it. So that the first lesson in race first they receive isn't when they're 18 years old while attending college.

but the area where my other 2 properties are .... 1 is in the trap, 1 is just the hood... but there are white lurkers in the hood one. which mean... white people will transform and replace those people as well cuz it's not far from downtown.

basically what I'm speaking of is re-gentrification. Look the cacs got a plan for you...and it ain't good. They are going to move you out, out price you & take over your old spots. I'm thinking of just beating them to the punch and doing it with us (black folks). This is one of the ways to save the inner city brehs. Combine it with your ideas and it can work.
