yup, listened to a few tracks again after the first listen, but most of it was off my iphone within a couple months. Nothing really interesting on there outside of Animals

i don't think there will be a "Memorable" album in this day n age, because with that logic, some of the classics from the 90's wouldn't even survive if the internet was around during that time like the way it is now. Albums take time to marinate and have to be played more than once to actually gain it's appreciation from the listener. Compton will be viewed as a classic a few years from now, some of you just don't understand it. "Deep water" "one shot kill", "its all on me", "All in a days work", "Animal", "Diary", "For the love of money", "Medicine Man" "Jr day" are all classic songs on that album, you guys are saying this album is "average", gtfoh with that BS, yall gotta learn to sit down and live with an album for a month and not bump anything else for it really to speak to you.

i actually took the time to bump this project without listening to anything else for a month and i'm astounded as to how anyone with a good hear can hate on this.

I think that's why I love older albums so much. When all you had was a Sony Walkman and a few CD's you would listen to that shyt day and night so it would be engraved in your brain. You actually learn to appreciate the songs, how they're made, the production, more time to process the lyrics. The small details that go into some of them.

Not to mention that we were short on money so that might be the only album you'd get for the month so it better be a great album that you bought which back then most of them were. I still do that today though, I'll buy 2-3 albums in one month and I'll just bump those only.

Now with the Internet and all the new streaming apps music is too accessible. It's kind of like when you catch an old flick on cable you'll end up watching the whole thing. But with Netflix if you see the same title you won't even bat an eye when you see the cover.

foh, compton is an 8/10 album. flawless production and kendrick/em/snoop/cube/xzibit dropped some of their best verses of the past decade. Also one of the highest selling + highest critically reviewed albums of 2015 plus grammy nominated. a few loud ass negative opinions wont change the truth

Loose Cannon, Animals, DEEP Water, Darkside/Gone, Talking To My Diary, One Shot Kill. Damn near every song on the alb bumps and the overall production and mix is the bear you're gonna hear in this day and age.

The biggest problem with this album was the first track was by far the weakest and completely threw people off. Add to that the sound and delivery wasn't what people expected and they gave up after one listen.

Give it a other listen with open ears and you can see the genius in it.
This. Yeah that first track should not even be on there. Dre fukked up doing that, not sure what he was thinking putting the worst track to start his new album off. Even I was like .

There's a lot of meat on the bones of this project though. But all the complaints were that Dre was rapping different and the gangster funk was missing along with some strange cameos.

There some legit bangers on this album and if u only listened to the first couple songs and tossed it :mjlol:
