I think there is more to this story. Remember, Kobe was not on good terms with his parents. It's my understanding he had cut them off. Remember he actually filed a lawsuit against them when they tried to sell off some of his memorabilia. Who knows what he told his wife to do or not do in the event of his death.

Yeah I’m pretty confident Vanessa and the girls have zero contact with Kobe’s side of people since that settlement, lines of communication burned, but my question is when does morality kick in and a person just do the right thing in their heart.
