Dude raised millions of dollars for this school which is unaccounted for.. It doesn't take a decade to paint a building and put in windows nor does it cost that much. Thats a few days worth of work at best and would have only cost a couple thousand. This is text booking scamming. He milked all he could out of donations for 10 years on an empty building. Donations dried up so he needed to do something to keep you fools donating so now he threw in some windows and fools will start sending money again cause he is almost there... Just need a little more money to finish up right.. A year from now he will need money for the floors.. 2 years from now he need more money for the plumbing.. etc etc.

Real Estate and development isn't cheap. I can easily see money being sunk into that, especially if he doesn't have someone on site to manage the project.
Putting things into perspective, I have seen work that should have cost £15,000 cost £40,000 in total because the first builder didn't do his job, the second builder used the wrong material and the 3rd builder had repair the fukk up.
This is why I'm more inclined to believe he bit off more than he can chew. You saying it is a 3 day job. It isn't a 3 day job but thinking it is why someone would think having a pocket full of cash would be enough when what's needed is a continuous stream of money and reserves that you can tap into.
