Because he asked him to freestyle, they put out the video of him struggling...had there been no video, no one would have clowned him for struggling off his black berry....its basically what kicked off their rift and why Flex was excited to release the reference tracks....

Are you sure about artist not getting paid to perform?

I don't have 100% proof but it's pretty well known. They aren't paying no Desiigner or French Montana, that's for sure. If they paid Future I wouldn't be shocked, but even then I would bet his label would pay him to go because the label has other artists that need that airplay even if Future might be at the level that he doesn't. Labels, publicists, management groups and agents usually have a "big fish" client that they will offer up to yo in exchange for you taking 6 of their baby/unknown artists
