its the other way around, you actually can't present new evidence at appeal except under special circumstances.
my comment was on whether his legal team would carry on a losing case to the appellant courts. its past the point of billable hours at this point, it starts to get to their reputation.
Ahh I gotcha, so they'll have to present the same case to a different judge and the judge would have to go against what the original judge said pretty much when it comes to the case, so Drake has to hope he finds a judge that agrees with his stance pretty much.
That I understand, you can only take so many public Ls as a firm before your rep is tarnished.
If I remember correctly, you can file as many appeals as you want but it will only be granted if you can prove the initial dismissal was given erroneously.
In other words, he would have to prove the judge is biased, incompetent, etc.
I do not see him getting a W via appeal or an appeal ever going through. At some point he has to move on with this life, I said over a year ago all dude has to do is lay low and drop "God's Plan 2" or "Hotline Bling 2" and he would be OK. He did the polar opposite of that, dropped like 60 forgettable songs and kept his initial L in the public spotlight with this stupid ass law suit.
I'm not sure what he can or should do at this point.

I mentioned it a while back but I always got this vibe that he's not all that smart from his interviews. Like he's legit a dumbass and a lot of his decisions reinforce this. Or just having jealous bytch tendencies against kendrick. The fact kendrick was getting crowned the best rapper, Mc should've not effected him at all with him being the most commercially successful rapper. The fact he knew his truth that he didn't write his own raps and still had an issue with kendrick being labeled a better Mc etc shows the size of his ego.

There’s a reason why Kendrick can drop something and basically disappear, and Drake can’t. Drake is in a 720 deal where he owes 37 people before he actually gets paid.

Because Dot did have an interview post battle where he did speak about NLU, and if you remember, for a few days OVhoes and even some "stand on business" dudes tried to kill him over it.

and that Kendrick threatened physical harm to him and his kid because he said "wop wop wop wop wop, dot fukk em up", then you know that Drake was thirsting to take anything Kendrick said in an interview about NLU to jam him up by taking the song from the realm of artistic expression in a rap battle to print journalism or a free deposition statement. He wanted to use Kendrick’s words against him…which makes it so funny that Drakes words…via PACs AI voice got used against him in the dismissal.
But it wasn't cowardice or "backpedal gang" like Drakes stans tried to spin it into. Dot was just smart enough to leave it all in his music. He knew the right way to move when a bytch ass nikka is on the other side, you let him file his lawsuit filled with random tweets, meritless conspiracy theories, and Akadimiks as the meat of his complaint, then you get on stage at the Super Bowl in front of 133 million people and call him a pedophile set to a "catchy beat" and "propulsive bassline."

Yes he could have.
He usually drops every 1-2 years. The battle ended spring 2024. He could've not dropped anything until summer 2025 and act as if the battle never happened. As long as the music was decent it would've went a long way towards rebuilding his reputation.
Instead he did goofy social media antics, gambling streams, tried to align himself with alt-right streamers like Adin Ross, and basically dropped music nonstop. I do not recall any point prior to 2024-2025, where he dropped the sheer volume of music he did, in such a short time frame.
Not to mention the weird ass "Iceman" episodes which nobody cares about. The two biggest Drake fans I know are college aged black girls (20-21) and neither knew anything about those, or that he had an album coming out. At some point they tuned out because he was dropping so much sh*t.
And then the law suit on top of all that.
