Lol
You can literally punch that bar with your fist and it will take about 5 seconds before it comes down
personally, weighted bars are more for the 400lbs plus club.
I lift 315, with no weighted bar and personally.
non weighted bars are the best for lifting from my experience.
the weighted bar, imo should be used for people pushing 400lbs or better.
as the weighted bar can take the strain of being racked via wear and tear.
a non-weighted bar will bend over time and I have bent non weighted bars benching three hundo or better, consistently.
Didn't bother to sit and read through the whole thread, but just my 2 cents, Number 1, the smith machine bar is NOT 45 pounds and number 2, the smith machine is using air to help you with your press and bringing the bar down. her is no where near 295 and number 3, his form is TURRIBLE!!!
every machine is completely different from the last and you have to build the wrist and grip strength to lift and go from smith to Olympic to old antiques equipment.
I still have seen no smith machine with an actuator or air lifts like the bro science contingent swears is on most smith machines.
smith machines generally have different wrist catch release systems.
some you turn in, or turn out.
some you pop up and twist out, etc.
every one you have to be concerned about safety.
just like with a regular lift, with/without a spotter.
so, I really don't see what people are talking about.
all this the smith machine will damage your hinges, etc.
man, do your rotator cuff exercises and get yo money.
nikkaz talking but, what are you really doing like for real.
