After giving it a while to settle with this album, I have to admit I was wrong. It's a lot worse than I initially thought, nikka really dropped a weedplate as as his opus. He might never top his NWTS peak iah.

Views really does suffer from lack of depth.

Seems like Drake didn't want to lose his audience with this album because he's too smart not to have more diverse content.

He's playing the pop game more so than true artist growth

This pretty much confirms that the boy was using ghosts throughout his whole career. Probably not for every bar, but his whole shyt gotta be suspect right now.

You don't go from "Aye B, I heard your CD, you get an E for effort" to "You toying with it like a Happy Meal". You just don't. You don't go from 5AM to Child's Play. It doesn't make sense.

Listen to the verse that leads up to that line "Toying" and what comes after

You can single out lines with any rapper and call them whack on their own but it fits perfectly with the subject of the verse

And Childs play is telling a story what don't y'all understand the lyrics are suppose to be that way

What does lack of depth mean?

After listening to it over, it's definitely an album Drake will be wondering why it won't get loved much more than it will. This is probably his most polarizing release to this point in his career in terms of public perception, and for all intents and purposes, should go down as his worst ALBUM.

But this is by far his most hyped up, and seems to be the one that he's put the most work into to make seem "diverse" and different than the rest. I think Drake might have to either compromise and drop the hard shyt we all really want or be a complacent bytch and settle for never having a classic

Do y'all really think artist care if y'all think their album is classic or not? Like seriously.

They don't make music for people who sit around and debate which album goes on their meaningless mental classic list
