:ehh: I like the album but I've been saying its a drake album. Exactly what you would expect from him.

Seem like people are starting to grow tired of the sound. He's gotta find new content

I think he has to do more than that. He needs to take 2 Years off. He needs to kill that petulant boy king persona which was a dope perspective 5 years ago but is corny now. He needs to pen the entire album himself no help no nothing even if its a step back lyrically. Otherwise people are going to tune him out even worse.

I think this is one of his weaker projects, but it's not trash, at least not in comparison to all his other albums. It's in the same style. Better than Nothing Was the Same, tbh.

As far as Drake projects post-Comeback Season:

So Far Gone
If You're Reading This It's Too Late
Take Care
Views
Nothing Was the Same
Thank Me Later

This is where I'm at with the album also, thinking of the tracks I've put in a playlist:

Views
Hype
Pop Style
Still Here
Controlla
One Dance
With You
Weston Road Flows
9
Child's Play
U With Me
Redemption
Fire & Desire
Bonus Track - Feel No Ways

So that's 4 Rap Tracks, 3 Pop Tracks, 4 "Drake" Tracks (Rap/RnB Hybrids), 2 RnB Tracks, 1 Random Track. So, it's basically the Drake formula for an album.

Both sides of the argument for this album are actually making valid points. Hip-Hoppers who hate it are correct to dislike it, it's not a pure hip-hop album and has a high percentage of RnB/singing on it. Drake fans are correct in saying it's good and enjoyable, it falls inline with the formula he's established and will probably generate his biggest pop hits.

Other songs are cool but these felt like the standouts. If I had to criticize the album I'd say lyrically it's not his best weak rhymes, shytty metaphors. Also he starts sounding like a girl complaining about how men arent shyt but really it's because you keeping picking shytty people. It get's tiring hearing about how some girl he only fukked for 3 days broke his heart. If he really liked these chicks how come he can just move on to the next one so easily? Kinda makes you think he's lying. Who knows maybe he's just conflicted. Also like how he lets you know throughout the album that he's not really fukking with other people in rap anymore. You can also tell cause theres no other rappers (besides Pimp Cand Future) featured on here. Whole album could be about how people use him then leave him but you kinda wonder is it them that have the problem or is there something about Drake that make people treat him like that.
