Single sales never went towards album sales prior to this though.
If they did this with....Wayne for example, around his "C3" run....he'd be doing "Thriller" numbers. It's retarded.

on one hand, the playing field is even as all artists abide by these new rules.
on the other hand though, when you compare the sales numbers of today vs yesteryear they should better reflect the actual market and I don't know if 1,500 streams should = a sold album. It's misleading. You could love a single and not particularly the rest of the artist's catalog, among other things I see wrong with the new system.
you are crazy if you think Drake is at 50/Em levels...He's pretty much on that level man. His popularity at this very moment is up there with anyone in rap history tbh.
If this was 2003 Drake would either sell 10 million or have his career ended because of the ghostwriting thing. There'd be no in between.
