I have to take issue with your insinuation that Buddens made any sort of coherent point in that podcast. The 20 minutes i listened to was the audio equivalent of this:

Jay brought Tidal bc he knows what direction music is headed in

Jay is bumpin' heads with Drake bc Drake could make Tidal a billion dollar company but he signed w/ Apple instead

Jay could have had Kanye, Rihanna, Drake & Beyoncé all release Tidal exclusives

But Drake partnered w/ Apple bc they cut a bigger check

Drake is changing the landscape of music again...his business dealings will affect artists & how they manage their business

But artists are not doing as well financially bc of the decrease in album sales

Not every artist can get a 19 mil Apple deal like Drake

Interesting to see the streaming wars a year or two from now
