I just was watching Russel Simmons' Vladtv interview, and listen to what he says allowed LL Cool J to last long. Its what a lot of these major artist are missing now, if an artist understands this, he will last. It's all about pleasing your core audience, and the pop audience.

Drake is different to me, because this album is for his core audience, which is women, but the problem is women don't stay loyal, at least young women. They make decisions based on emotions, and if the crowd thinks one way, they would go that way. If Drake puts out some IYRTITL type music, he will solidify his spot, and respect with hip hop people. This is why he needs someone older who understands music to guide him, if he listens.
