A lot of theories about shooting are outdated. Their are some basic guidelines but what is best is finding what works with your biomechanics. Too many shooting coaches have these crazy rigid instructions that are not applicable anymore.
Realest shyt ive ever read on here and put so succinctly :wow:

It's based in racism that these black men need a white guy to teach them to shoot with their own fukking bodies
if you ask me:unimpressed:

Hold on kevin looney is a success story?

He was trash all season remember when curry/damion jones were down and he couldnt provide kd any help?

Pascal improved cause he put in the work rico hines and trainers get toooooooo much credit.

Siakimhad the work ethic them opportunity. Roco hines just sets up comp runs where players can test out shyt tey worked on vs nba players

:yeshrug: Stack Jack called out these trainers for this stuff too. Basically said most of the drills are a waste of time. Also said the best way to improve your game is to just stay in the gym and shoot around yourself.

Anybody know if Kobe ever had a trainer?
Gilbert arenas said the same on his podcast.

Never paid a trainer for shyt he called them glorified rebounders. He simply stayed in the gym..he did adapt drills he thought made sense from others.

Kobe had no trainer either just a crazy work ethic. Trainers never played at an elite level they dunno what works.

How can a 5’7 guy tell tatum how to play?

I said that on reddit..they gave credit to the development staff i was downvoted to oblivion

Reddit in general is corny af, but r/nba is one of the corniest subs on there. All the nephew shyt, cacs always making gay comments, and I’m pro-analytics but they take the shyt too far. Not even getting into the cacs that try to act “urban” just like hiphopheads and sneakers.

I rarely even look at that shyt, and yet when I do I still regret it.

I just stick to technology and the Chiefs sub when the season is here for the most part. Coli the only forum necessary :blessed:

Or tell Tatum how to create space from world class athletes they’ve never seen

”Fixed” Markelle Fultz’s jump shot

Has been “training” RJ Barrett

Trained Gordon Hayward for his comeback last season :mjlol:

Tries to take credit for Jayson Tatum even though his father trained him most of his life

I’m definitely not giving a 5’7 white guy credit for Joel Embiid’s success

NBA players need to stop paying guys like him $10k a month to get their rebounds and get with a real one like Rico Hines :wow:

Success stories include Pascal Siakam, Kevon Looney, and countless others

Rico is a 252 great.
