PS5 is slightly behind ps4 worldwide.
Xbox numbers are hard to come by but estimates put them pretty close.

I agree with you. The decision became so obvious to them they really weren’t forced to choose.
If you wanna sit back and act like Xbox wasn’t trying to appeal to the PlayStation consumer you’re crazy. It’s just that they mostly failed at it.
At this point the only people who care about Xbox hardware are Game Pass subs. Everyone else knows they’ll be served elsewhere.
We watched in real time as the PS3 sold less and the Xbox 360 sold more. We then watched the next generation where the Xbox One sold less and the PS4 sold more.
We heard Phil Spencer admit in an interview that was the worst generation to lose to Sony. So we should believe you over the company CEO? Sure you obviously know more than him.
