I have never had the desire to have a BMW. Never driven one that I recall. Surprising being that I know so many people personally that own them. I actually helped pick one out for a friend of the family. He is old guy. We were narrowed down to the 740LI and LS 460 Hybrid. At the time, both equipped with the same packages new were like $127 - 131k. He didnt see enough of a mileage difference with hybrid to go that way so he chose the 740. No horror story, he lost a lot of money and had to sell it.
I had about 3 other friends I know that had 3 series and my brother currently has an 06' 740. He also had an X5. No major issues, but expensive as fukk. Sunshade broke and that shyt was like $400 or some shyt. Most people I know that had 3 series always had tranny issues. One friend replaced a tranny in his, think it was like 3500. Last time it broke down he went and got a Prius.
on another note, I had 2 Rovers and after getting rid of my last one back in 16, I absolutely had no desire to get another. been there, done that and them shyts was dumb expensive to maintain. I am shocked to see it as low on the list as it is. I am rockin with Nissan/Infiniti now but still a huge Lexus fan too.
