Limitations that the passenger didn't exceed according to the drivers composure.:sas2:

Shut your dumb ass up! The boricua bums in the video were well beyond their 'limitations" as in many states what these fools did is considered trespassing, which legally allows the owner of the car to take force to remove unruly passengers if necessary.

ATL, but rasied in DMV
First I'd suggest this brother, or anybody else, to never ever depend on Uber, especially Lyft, as their sole source of income if they can help it. I've read horror stories that left Lyft drivers financially devastated, just because of some "he said she said" crap started by a passenger with no credibility, and the drivers account got immediately suspended. They are plenty of drivers just as calm and patient as this brother, who's accounts where suspended in a heart beat. Since share riding companies are independent contractors, which lack a union, these drivers have no protection. Again, no way should this be your sole source of income if you can help it, especially if you have a family. It's a reason that brother was so patient, and that fakkot knew all this. Do to the fact that Lyft even temporarily suspended this brothers account should be illegal, especially after he recorded everything, including the racial slurs hurled at him. If anybody should be investigated, it should be Lyft.

I'm on the verge of blowing up twitter and facebook, and contacting local news investigation teams about Lyft as I speak. I know this is a little of topic in itself, but my drivers license was cancelled last year after being a victim of mistaken identity involving outstanding tickets from another driver in another state. This has become a little common lately for people who have a similar first and last name, and birthday with someone else. The crazy part is, you have no protection from it, even if you provide a birth certificate, proof of residency, proof of social security numer, etc..., and you'll need a lawyer, which could cost more than that other guys outstanding fines. It took me three months to get my license reinstated.

I always had an account on file with Lyft, but I never drove for them. I recently tried to update my insurance and registration information with them because I thought about going ahead and driving with them to pay off my property taxes early. But don't you know they suspended my account immediately after they found out about this mistaken identity incident. I wrote them about this incident, and all they did was tell me to take it up with the company that does the driving background checks, that goes by the name SambaSafety. Samba sounds a lot like Sambo. I don't know which is worst, that name or Spokeo.com...smh. The crazy thing is, Lyft provided me with my driving record from SambaSafety, and all though it showed the license cancellation, it also showed the license reinstatement three months later. No where did it show me connected to any accidents, or tickets, because I have no points. And I already read about this happening to a Hispanic man in Massachusetts, and they suspended his count too, then reinstated after the issue was resolved. I have a Black middle name...and no it's not Leroy. But all jokes aside, this feels like some form of discrimination. Perhaps they're trying to make room for all those foreign cab drivers they put out of business, who knows.

The only reason I haven't put Lyft on blast is because it's not my sole source of income, and I don't really need them. But I'd still like to use them just in case I need a quick couple hundred here and there. Plus unlike Uber, you can drive for Lyft in any state.

Around 6:20 you can see the internal struggle the brother is going through. My dude was thinking hard about his bills and family. Much respect to him for holding it together and not allowing those idiots to goad him into putting his hands on them because I don't think I would have been disciplined enough to do the same.

limitations aren't universal:yeshrug:

Those laws are used against Black men more than they aid them, majority of the time theres some technicality which conveniently excludes us from legal protection and opens us up to legal prosecution/persecution.

In the Silver Lining
Breh, got to pick your battles, especially if you talking upping the tempo to physicality....which would have just led to arrest, injury/serious injury, paying court/legal/hospital bills, reputation soiled, and probably lost of an easy hustle.

I did Uber in Houston for awhile when it first came to town. It's a great side hustle, just to have in the back pocket, probably not as great when it first started. Yes, I've kicked people out my vehicle (verbally), and yes I have not picked up passengers when I saw they were going to be distrespectful from the gate

So I agree with you it is the drivers vehicle, and it appears the driver actually pulled over because he was being disrespected and probably ask them to leave, but they didn't get out...so again...it was smart that he recorded the interaction after he pulled over.

I'm not saying don't have self-respect, but there are levels to this shiit. We all know the scenario...driver gets loud...passenger gets loud and starts cursing...driver says it's my car and get the fukk out...passenger refuses....driver attempts to physically remove passenger......WORLDSTAR VIDEO.

Because we don't know the dynamics of the drivers situation, the driver chose a different option, rather than physically remove, record.

When my mother died she taught me a very important lesson, which was always useful but more now than ever. She taught patience, humble and calm will get you through anything. As a father of 2 my single means of providing for my wife and children is driving a rideshare, accommodating people from all walks of life, All of which i treat with the utmost respect, after all I must provide for my family.

The video pretty much speaks for itself has to what happen but what the video doesn't show is what happened next. After the end of the video, i had to also call the police for myself expressing my concerns and fear of what will happen if i was not assisted. Luckily there was no physical confrontation but the company i drive with felt it necessary to cancel my account pending investigation. Unfortunately expenses weren't suspended and I am left to dig myself out of an awfully stressful predicament. I didn't ask for this nor did i want this. I know America is better than this and despite the hate we have to deal with from a few, my heart tells me, the world is mostly good. I ask for help, So i can get myself off the ground and back to providing for my family again. Any and every help offered will be greatly appreciated even the prayers for my family and myself.

Thank you
