Damn the coli said not to worry about this, it’s 20 years in the future
I got argued down about that shyt. Tried helping people to understand what AI and automation is but too many are legit just too dumb to get it, and they're going to be left behind.

I must be a mind-reading, future-telling wizard because everything I try to tell these goofy Coli clowns ends up being correct

should I still get my cdl?
Come join the team lol. First year sucks cuz you normally have to go OTR but get a year and some endorsements and you should be able to find a good local job... I never went OTR but driving 11 hours a day thru cities to places you've never been didn't seem appealing to me. #daycabgang

Do Waymos drive around with a 70,000lb load?

Do Waymos fly in the air with 300 passengers in a 90,000 metal cabin?

Lol their goal is to clearly have driverless trucks. Yes, the stakes are higher hence why they have a driver now still but eventually their goal is no driver

My point is that they plan to get rid of all drivers not just 18 wheelers.

Only vehicles that can speak to each other will be on the road.

Yes. But the vehicles will not be able to speak to human children. Or walls. Or trees.

They still have a long way to go.

I would t trust these things to do anything but go down a long highway in a relatively straight line.

If everything becomes automated then how will people have disposable income to buy anything?
U won't

The owners will

That's the ultimate goal of automation

And look how happy some people are, mentioning typewriter repair techs and comparing them to truck drivers.

When they come for y'all comfy office positions and the crying starts, I will remember the typewriter repair techs comparison.

I see that they’re working on that aspect of it - to stop or drive slowly when not on highways. This is what the driverless taxis do now. When I see them drive in movies the streets are pedestrian free.
