That had nothing to do with drones or drone pilots. I watched that episode and it was about 9/11 hijackers being "brave" for their ability to stay in the plane and dying in it.

That's kind of true. Rural cops or small town cops don't have a lot to do. There's always traffic safety to cover, i.e. write tickets to traffic violators at popular traffic violation locations.Don't cops do the same thing to a certain degree.

I worked in a suburban county that bordered on a big city. Even if you were assigned to work a beat in the nice neighborhoods, there were always car accidents, mental illness-related and domestic violence calls to go to. And if you were in areas with low-income housing, then you saw action. Robbery, theft, break ins, murders, and shootings. Summer time was busier, literally.
It was like, "Weather is nice now. Let's go out shoot people."
