Some drunk a$$hole was just doing 90 around the streets in my gated community and killed someone a few days ago. Another drunk fukk lost control and ended up in a parking lot and killed someone who was in their car parking. Could literally happen to anyone at any time and it’s 1000% preventable. The leniency we show to someone that gets caught driving drunk really is one of the worst things about this country that can be easily changed. Guys getting off with fines and a little community service and still driving after 3 and 4 fukking dui. Absolutely sickening

Automated cars can't come fast enough

Computers don't get drunk

I hope not. I love cars and I love driving, even after all these years of doing it, just the simple act of operating a motor vehicle is still fun to me. The shyt like HP and personalization is just icing on the cake. I know automation is coming, but I think there will always be a section of folks like me who will still like to drive.

going too slow can cause crashes too.

being drunk slows your reaction time so it ain't cool no matter what

Going too slow actually causes more crashes than folks going too fast, so you really gotta be more aware. I think the best way is to do either or depending on what’s around you. I always ride away from the pack, ima speed up and get in front or slow down and get behind everybody. I never ride in the middle, I can control what I do. Cant control these other people tho. What’s crazy is a lot of these fatal DUI crashes seem to be in the day, but I think a lot of folks be more vigilant about that at night. shyt makes you think.

that...doesnt sound real :dead:

It's true:lolbron:

After an injury, if you are intoxicated there seems to be a pretty substantial protective effect," said Lee Friedman, the author of the study and an assistant professor of environmental and occupational health sciences at UIC, in a statment issued by the school. "The more alcohol you have in your system, the more the protective effect."

Friedman's study shows a correlation between a high blood-alcohol content and an increased chance of survival after a serious injury, but it doesn't necessarily demonstrate that alcohol is the root cause of the increase.

He probably stopped there first out of shock and wanting to render aid as quickly as possible without thinking, or he might've done it to prevent other, unsuspecting people from driving by and rolling over tons of broken glass, shredded metal and car parts. OR, maybe he just wasn't a piece of shyt and understood that in accidents like this, the more witnesses/evidence the better. Whatever the case, he did the right thing.

LOL @ people talking about automated cars

Once those electronic sensors fukk up, RIP to everyone

One man's self driving tesla didn't sense a large trailer truck next to it because the trailer was so high that the sensor didn't know it was there and merged right under the truck decapitating the driver.

Nothing is really perfect and the likelihood that every vehicle becomes autonomous on the road in our lifetimes is pretty low.

It would have to be mandated that 100 percent of all vehicles on road have to be self driving and can speak to each other for it to truly be an almost free accident environment... I'm not necessarily against it but we are a long ways from that being possible through law and availability on the market

There will be fights for people to have the right to continue to drive old cars if government just said no car can be registered and driven unless it's autonomous.
