NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I'm only fukking around bro

I disagree he doesn't have substance though, the post below you gives some examples

Jay isn't that substantial either
I didn’t say he doesn’t have any songs with substance. I’m saying Jay in average has WAY more substance in his rhymes than Wayne. U can take more away from a Jay verse than a Wayne verse majority of the time. Even when Jay talking about drugs. He speaks from a more realistic perspective.

Had this convo with two of my boys the other day

one of the few real hip hop convos I have and he is a devout Wayne stan

you can't call me a Wayne hater, was listening to Hot Boys in 1998/1999 when I was like 12/13, bought everything up to Carter 3

saw him live twice in 2008

but he hasn't matured at all since like 2007. And it shows. he sounds like he is 22 years old, like he stopped maturing at some point. He did experiment and try different things but he never seemed to develop like an adult world view, he sounds like the same child star/fake trap boy/playa still. There's no perspective in his music.
Wayne hater

Yup. Because jewels still being dropped. Folks don’t understand…. Your “style” don’t gotta be super “conscious” in order to have “substance” you can’t talk street shyt or whatever and still have plenty jewels dropped throughout the music… Just cause a song ain’t called “here’s to the youth” don’t mean jewels and lessons ain’t being relayed through the music. I’ve heard life lessons through freestyles

I bet this same dude is a pusha T fan :mjlol:

“Substance” is just an excuse that rap nerds use to hate on rappers that they don’t like. Those same people that complain about a rapper’s lack of “substance” will turn around and d#ckride acts like Griselda and Pusha T all day. And their excuse is always, “Bu, bu, but they sound dope.”

I could prolly post more but I’m not really a Wayne Stan like that any more.

These. As a kid I loved Fukk The World and Youngn Blues, and Youngn Blues doesnt really stand up anymore, but Fukk The World is still perfect.

plus as others posted Georgia Bush & Tie My Hands and more. Also:

I do wish Misunderstood was doper, that Nina Simone sample was calling for Wayne to really go in, but he didnt really do it that time. oh well, he def has some moments
