That's true but if I'm looking for a backup point guard it's not that serious. They are everywhere and Jones doesn't really stand out. I don't see him doing much in the L but another year at Dukkke won't do him any favors either.

You can live with that in the pros but when your entire recruiting pipeline depends on the customer service review then you've got a problem. Especially when these issues go years back and they aren't isolated either.

Jones is smart to leave now cuz he might struggle next year if he's the best player on Duke with Okafor Cook and Winslow leaving. If he balled out he could boost his stock but if he disappointed or didn't get better he may have dropped as a prospect. And considering he is pretty much a first round lock now then he did the right thing.
