Superstar
Olajuwon won a title without a legitimate second star. I don't think Duncan has ever done that. shyt Jordan never did that.

Since 07? Lol...no Spurs fan said that except @Public EnemiesYou gonna act like Spurs fans haven't been calling Parker the best PG in the game since '07?![]()
Why? I thought legends and greats got compared by ringsstop bringing up rings in this discussion

fukk you old nikkaWell if your argument consists of #s that you read off a Wikipedia page then you know its
You saying crazy shyt like Duncan is better then Shaq, its lets me know that you just weren't old enough to appreciate the brand of basketball we enjoyed in the 90s..
There were no "minute restrictions", there were no "nights off for rest" , there wasn't even as much ball movement..
Everything was mano y mano. And we (80s babies) remember those moments.. Now a days too many of you rely on a statistic to tell you who was better, and don't appreciate the individual skill each person has.
.

Olajuwon, for the simple fact that he did EVERYTHING better than Duncan, and was a more versatile defender. I'm not rewarding Duncan for being drafted to a better run franchise.
Dream is the better player of the two.
Duncan is a better rebounder than Dream, but yeah...Dream is the better player overall IMO.You have to say peak dream >>>> peak duncan
I'll concede that longevity duncan >>> longevity dream (there were factors determining that but it's fine)
But you can't sit here and really list anything duncan definitely did better than dream in their respective primes.
Scoring - Dream
Defense - Dream
Rebounding - Push/Wash
Offensive Game - Dream
Defensive Versatility - Dream (he could guard 3-5, and even stay with guards on the perimeter)
Leadership - I guess you can say Duncan here, since dream was a wildman before he found religion

You're getting Sampson mixed up with Lewis Lloyd and Mitchell Wiggins. Sampson didn't have any drug problems.
Its mindAlso, no one's gonna talk about Hakeem's early exits and gloss over Duncan losing in the first round to an 8th seed in 2011.![]()
Quoted for emphasisCant even fathom how someone picks Dream over Timmy. Reminds me of the Tim vs KG discussions, with some of the same arguments coming from Dream supporters that came from KG supporters. I rock with Dream, so do not take any of this as slander. Probably top 15 player all time. But Tim is the GOAT PF, Top 5 player of all time.
People are getting enamored with the peak years of Dream and completely ignoring the years he could not lead his team out of the first or second round in the at the time mediocre western conference. Its like people forget basketball prior to 95. Dream was eliminated IN THE FIRST ROUND FOUR CONSECUTIVE YEARS DURING THE PRIME OF HIS CAREER!!! And he followed up those first round exits by missing the playoffs the year after that. Like really brehs? I get everybody was too busy watching the Bulls win rings during those years to pay attention to anything else, but these are facts. You can look it up if you want. If that happened during the modern era, he would get slaughtered by everybody on this board for having good stats but no wins (see Chris Paul).
