This is a wild and surprising statement. “Way better.” :what: This man is either super humble or straight trippin. I would think prime Wade could hang with the best of the best in today’s game.
He’s being super humble. Prime D Wade could easily be doing what Donovan Mitchell is doing. And that’s an understatement.

WADE PLAYED IN A
MUCH TOUGHER DEFENSIVE ERA.

IF HE TOOK CARE OF
HIS BODY & DIET HE
COULD STILL BE PLAYING
AT A HIGH LEVEL RIGHT NOW.

Why would people be calling Kareem the GOAT in 2022, when very few were calling him that back in the 90s?
I don’t know when it happened, but they started putting more of an emphasis on rings when it came to claiming someone as the GOAT. In the late 80s, there were players already calling MJ the GOAT before he ever won a title. Even after MJ won his titles, the debate was between MJ and Wilt as who was the GOAT. Over the years, Wilt has gone way down on people’s list.

One thing MJ will always has is he not only won the scoring titles, the MVPs and the rings, but he never lost in the Finals and was Finals MVP each time he won.

Wade also has the knee injury history as well, which likely shortened his career. It was still pretty long, but yeah, he could he playing now at 40. He started to lose his elite athleticism sometime during the Heat’s run.

Mike isn’t going anywhere. There’s too much footage and his play style is damn near flawless technically and aesthetically. He was fearless and never had a moment where he looked overwhelmed. There are damn near no moments in Mike’s prime where he could be clowned. He was the best player on every team he played on from the minute he stepped in the league til the last dance season.
10 scoring titles (won all 6 rings leading the league in scoring)
DPOY
Career 30ppg on 50% shooting
Dominated his era
The shots, the steals, the moments won’t be forgotten
The Brand

Most people in their 20s and 30s still regard Mike as the GOAT. People weren’t calling Kareem the GOAT 20 years post retirement.(‘08)
:wow:

I HATED this nikka growing up as a Lnicks fan, and all his dikk riders. Now, I wear all his shoes and collect Jordan posters and art. Undisputed GOAT. No way you like the game of Bball and don’t see MJ as the epitome of greatness. AI called him Black Jesus

I don't think he'll be forgotten because the branding is so strong, but I can also see in 50 years from now, people in the 2070s viewing Mike like a mythical figure like how we view Wilt. "MJ really did all that? :ohhh:"

Jordan will never be forgotten because of his logo/brand...Jordan won 6 in 8 years and was MVP for all so theres a diff between him and Kareem....

Bill Russell doesnt have the stats that MJ has,why are basketball convos lacking so much sense...Wade is projecting because his place is what will actually be forgotten because of how goofy he turned out post retirement...

That last sentence is why MJ will always be in the GOAT discussion and wont be forgotten....basketball convos lack so much sense its just nikkas wanting to shout an opinion.
