thats exactly why everybody says D12 carried that team.... they almost won 60 games in the reg season
but most importantly their playoff run was amazing
- they beat a more talented sixer team in 1st round
- then beat the world champs celtics team (although KG was out)
- to top it off by beating a Lebron cavs team with the best record of the season
- unfortunately losing to the Kobe,Pau,Phil Jax lakers in da finals

You are saying Dwight carried them because of name and name alone. We'll pretend Hedo, Rashad Lewis, Pietrus, and Jameer didn't have damn near career years because their names don't hold weight like Dwight's

EXACTLY....HEDO, RASHARD, AND JAMEER DAMN NEAR PUTTIN UP THE SAME PPG AS DWIGHT. CATS DONT REMEMBER, THAT TEAMS SUCCESS WAS PREDICATED ON HAVING KNOCK DOWN THREE POINT SHOOTERS AT EVERY POSITION BEFORE THAT WAS POPULAR.

Dwight's defense alone carried them on that end of the court. Hedu, Rashard, and Jameer were never known as good defenders. Courtney Lee and maybe Pietrus were the only regular rotation guys that can be graded as even above average on defense. Offensively it was just a well put together group whose skillsets complimented each other perfectly. Dwight's threat as a rim runner and offensive rebounder helped open the floor up for all the shooting the team had and gelled perfectly with the fact that they had multiple people who could playmake.
Hardly any successful team is carried but Dwight didn't have another star around him and was the centerpiece in what made the offense go and did carry them defensively.
